May you always be healthy and happy.

The COVID-19 pandemic has made us limit all the activities we do outside the home, keeping our distance, wearing masks, and washing our hands are health protocols that we must obey. All these activities are now no longer a rule, but have become an obligation to be carried out. Do you love your family? One way is to keep them protected and ensure they comply with health protocols.

We also cannot change and eliminate customs, customs will always be there and have been passed down from generation to generation by our grandparents before and felt the benefits and had more value contained therein. Every country, every region, even every village has different customs and customs. There are so many customs that we can see and even we participate in the process. Aceh, the northern part is where I come from, we have a very important custom that is "Peusijuk Madeung" (Postpartum Peusijuk).

Leaf of Sisineujuek

Peusijuk Madeung is done in the morning before noon. My family and I prepared some equipment to take to our relative's place which we were going to visit to carry out the Peusijuk process. I was assigned to look for plants that contain their respective values and virtues and these plants have a fragrant aroma, such as henna leaves, Sisineujuk leaves (a kind of cocor duck leaf), manek manoe (a type of colored leaves), and naleung Sambo (a type of green leaf). grass).

Comes with rice, rice, water, and you can't miss it with glutinous rice which is overlaid with 'tumpoe' (glutinous rice mixed with bananas and then fried) and is usually round and flat. It tastes very good and sweet. Not just any reason why this custom is still known today, all the materials needed in this traditional procession have a very thick meaning with every prayer that is said and we hope that the values of these materials can be taken.

Blukat Tumpoe

Just like "bulukat tumpoe" which is Khalis, chewy, sweet, fat, and fused together, it is likened to having a sweet heart and character, good speech, what is said must be in accordance with actions, and most importantly is heart and mind should have calm and good thoughts. Then after all the leaves and materials were obtained, we immediately set off on foot, because his house was not far from our house.

Sweet baby sleeping

We didn't forget to prepare some gifts and when we got there, we were welcomed and served some drinks and snacks to eat. However, before we eat it, the Peusijuk process is carried out step by step until finally the Peusijuk Madeung is finished and we immediately see the baby who has just been bathed. My mother immediately opened one of the packages which turned out to contain baby clothes and immediately put it on the baby. He looks so comfortable that he fell asleep before mom put his pants on.

A dish served with a few glasses of hot tea and a few slices of cake

In order not to get cold, we immediately ate the dish and said goodbye to go home, because it was already noon and we women in the village had to cook.
Well, that's all for today's story of my diary games, hopefully it will be useful.
