Good day Steem women; today I’ll be sharing my meal preparation for today. It’s a yummy Cameroonian dish loved by so many; Eru.

Eru is a dish made from some vegetables, palm oil, proteins and seasonings. It is mostly accompanied by what we commonly call water fufu or garri both obtained from processed tapioca (cassava).

This dish is quite easy to make; let’s get to the process right away.

The things I used are;

Beef

Eru leaves

Salt, chili

Process

I started off by seasoning my beef with salt, maggi and powder pepper after which I boiled it.
When it was ready, I added my well washed eru leaves. I let it cook for a while together with the beef stock and then I added my washed and sliced spinach. I immediately added my palm oil as well as more seasoning to match the whole mix.

At this point, I covered my pot to let everything mix and cook well, especially the palm oil. Once the water was almost completely dry from the pot, I then came in with my well ground crayfish. I gave it a good stir and closed the pot again for about 5 minutes so that all the water could be completely dried.

The aroma at this stage was just so inviting; and then you could start imagining the taste.

This is actually the end of my eru cooking; easy right?

I then made garri and complimented the eru with.

I've learned a new soup but it's just that I don't know what Eru leaves are.

I wish I knew another name for the eru leaves…. But I’ll find the original leaves(that have not been sliced); maybe you will identify it if you see
