Today I will be showing you how to prepare sweet orange oil and it's benefits to skin.
Orange essential oil is extracted from the peel of the sweet orange. You can use many orange as you want. Please note that the more orange peel you are using, the more oil is required and the oil must cover the orange peel in the bowl.
Working materials
1 Orange
Carrier oil like olive/almond oil.
A bowl
Grater
Sieve/light cloth
Pot
Water
Bottle
So let's get started.
Procedure
Wash your orange very well and grate it, all we need is the back/peel of the orange.
After getting the orange peel, take your olive or almond oil and pour it on bowl then add the orange peel to it. I used olive oil.
Put water in a pot and set it on fire then put the bowl of orange peel with carrier oil in the water to double boil.
Then allow it to boil for 20mins, you can stir it while it is still on the fire, so that the nutrients from the orange will be total extracted to the oil.
Take the bowl from the boiling water and allow it to cool down, then use sieve/cloth to cover a bowl and pour the orange peel oil on it and extract the oil from the peel. Then transfer the oil to a bottle.
It treat skin conditions such as acne, kills harmful viruses and bacteria, reduces inflammation and eczema from the skin layer.
It helps to lighten the skin because it contain vitamin C e.t c.
