Hello everyone this is Prema from India and today i am going to make idli an Indian Dish yet a mouth watering dish . Idli can be a perfect breakfast and most of the Indians prefer eating idli in lunch also as it is a heavy dish .
So let's proceed further with our recipe
Ingredients
2 cups of rice
1 of urad dal or lenticles
2 tablespoons of salt
1 pinch of Fenugreek
Process 1
Take two cups of rice and lenticles and soak it in water for 8 to 10 hours and then wash away and grind it . Ferment it for 10-15 hours by adding 2 tbsp of salt.
Then make a a thick batter as shown in the picture
Then take the idli utensil and grease the utensil before putting the batter to steam because idlis sticks in the utensils so grease it properly so that it comes out easily . Fill the container in a way so that the batter does not comes out of the utensils
Process 2
Take the idli container and 4 cups of water boil the water properly so that it could steam the better and can be cooked well . Then leave the idli for atleast 15 minutes and your idli is ready .Now open the container and check with the help of a spoon whether the idli is properly cooked
Now serve it with Sambhar and Chutney or sauces whatever you wish.
