08-03-2021|| Dynamic Tuesday:DIY, Creativity and Art|| My Tin Can DIY

A pleasant day to all the creative women here in #SteemWomenClub. How are you guys doing so far?!. By the way this is @saneunji from the Philippines and if you're going to ask me how am I doing today, well I'm just fine but a bit busy with work and by trying to find time for me to be able to do this entry of mine in participation for today's dynamic.

Today is Tuesday and another day for SteemWomen's Daily Dynamic. This Dynamic Tuesday is all about DIY, Arts and Crafts that encourages us Women to share our ideas and creativity in doing Arts and Crafts to the community.

Early morning while I was cooking a canned corned beef for our breakfast, an idea came up and I was inspired to recycle the tin can instead of throwing it away. I've decided to make my own simple version of DIY tin can crafts and turn the can into a Pen Holder and DIY vase for Artificial Flowers as home decor.

This DIY idea is just very simple and easy and recycling cans and bottles can be of great help to our environment. Just imagine how we can help lessen the trash of the world if we constantly do DIYs out of tin cans instead of throwing it away.

**Here's How I did my DIY Pen Holder and DIY Vase

Materials to Use

• Empty Can
• Colored Papers/Construction Papers
• Glue and Scissor
• Aritificial flowers to add beauty

The Process

➡️ First think of the design you are going to make and prepare all the materials needed.

➡️ Prepare the empty can. Make sure to hammer the rough edge of the can for safety and wash it thoroughly. Let it dry then set aside.

➡️ Prepare the colored paper then cut out the paper into a long strips and make a simple weaved design.

➡️ Once done in weaving the paper, glue it into the can.

➡️ Finally add artifical flowers to the vase to complete our DIY Vase for artificial flowers.

➡️ You can also glue few artificial flowers to the side of the can as an additional design for our DIY Pen Holder.

Thoughts

Doing things such as Arts and Crafts are not that easy especially for people like me who doesn't have skills or talents when it comes to Art but definitely Arts and Crafts are very challenging and fun. It enhances our creativity and resourcefulness to make something new out of trash and to make use of whatever available resources we have. My DIY is very simple and easy that even kids can also do this craft but what's important is atleast I tried to make my own DIY and I am happy with it.
