What I do for my Personal development
Hey there everyone, back with another article dedicated to myself only. As the heading says, I will be talking about what I do for my personal development. But, before we get started, I think it would be better to explain what personal development really is or what it means, precisely.
Since I am from the background of business studies and for anyone related to the field of business studies or marketing background with a degree, they would be familiar with Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory. But for those who aren’t familiar with the theory, I’ll put a brief concept of the theory for you.
The theory proposes that every human being has six basic needs and among those needs there is one which stands above all in the hierarchy and that is, the need for personal development which is fulfilled through the process of self actualization. As the word itself explains, a person realizes what he/she may actually be capable of doing in life, their homes, societies, workplaces and even in this world.
Without the realization, a person may feel empty inside, which is a fact. How? Well, as we grow we start to realize that we need to stop wasting time doing unproductive things or things which will not be beneficial to us in any way. We start to struggle harder than ever to know our strengths and weaknesses, our capabilities, abilities, what we want in life. Once we know that, we start working on ourselves. This process can be described as personal development, theoretically.
Since we now know what personal development means, it’s time to tell you all what I do for my personal development. Probably will start from exercising, both mental and physical. Talking about mental exercises, I like to learn new things, languages specifically speaking. It started most definitely when everyone of us was locked in our houses for months during the Covid-19 global pandemic. Since I had a lot of time to kill, I started watching some movies and seasons, I didn’t like it when the movies were dubbed, so I decided to learn some languages myself for free so that I wouldn’t need to care for subtitles and dubbing in English. So far I have learned some reasonable amounts of Spanish, Chinese and Arabic. Apart from languages, I read books regarding human psychology, to understand myself and fellow human beings better.
Now to the physical exercises. I started with push ups around two years ago, did some research about how to be swole as pushing myself up for a long time wasn’t making me muscular, found out that body weight training is like the beginners stuff. So I decided to buy myself a pair of dumbbells to lift about eight months ago as going to the gym isn’t really suitable for my busy routine as a college student, so dumbbells are the closest I have to a gym, plus most exercises can be done with dumbbells only. Playing cricket every weekend surely accounts as a physical exercise. Now exercising creates a mentality in a human mind that if I can do this I can do anything, and believe me it does. My mindset has gotten stronger just by doing some, not so hardcore, exercises six times a week.
Well, this was all I do for my personal development, and I have developed myself quite a lot with these activities. Also, I am constantly looking for some other activities which will prove productive for myself.
Hola @shahzaibb; Que bueno que hagas ejercicios y leas libros de psicología también comparto esta actividad contigo y unidos a esto esta la neurociencias, conocernos a nosotros mismos es más importante que tener dinero, saludos.,

Greetings brother, We are few men who publish or you are the first I see, but here we are participating with the ladies.
Brother, it is as you say regarding self-fulfillment for personal development, if we are not well with ourselves we cannot be well with anyone and that part of the time we are going to invest in ourselves.
You always have to take that step that makes a change for the better in our lives and that change to begin with must be physical, a real change that is noticeable and helps us to improve progressively.
