Hello beautiful and strong women of SteemWomen Club Community.

"The only ones among you who will be really happy are those who will have sought and found how to serve" -Albert Schweizer

Indeed! The joy of giving is beyond compare. Giving is like drugs, it's so addictive. The more you give the more you want to repeat it over and over again. It is an act that is so fulfilling.

In the Philippines there are a lot of underprivileged children living in poverty. Due to poverty parents hardly buy the needs and wants of their children, they can't even buy slippers for them. It is a common site to see children walking to public schools without shoes or even slippers. Walking barefoot to school may cause disease that will kill and threaten their health. So, prividing slippers to the needy students is a great way to provide protection to their feet. As Korina Sanchez says "...with a decent pair of slippers we donate, we do not only ensure safety and health to these kids. We restore dignity and revive hope. Hope begins with the first step."

To ensure children's protection and health, together with my co workers, we decided to give slippers and snacks to the children of one of the remote islands of our city. The island of Caohagan. Before we went to the island we coordinated with the public school teachers for us to get the number of children enrolled in their school. We approximately give 500 pairs of slippers. It was a successful activity that i will treasure.

Let me end this with a quote:
"Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more"
~Robin Sharma
