WITH THE RISE IN SELFIES AND PHOTO FILTERING APPS, WE HAVE BECOME A MORE SELF-OBSESSED SOCIETY!

The term selfie has become so immersed in our culture and those selfies will be uploaded in popular media sites like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat. With the likes of Instagram and other filtering apps dominates the daily lives of people today, especially youth. Instagram and Snapchat filters are very famous nowadays. A lot of people using this app because they said, “The filters make you look better.” So, with the rise in selfies and Instagram photo filtering apps, do you think we have become a more self-obsessed society?

With the rise in selfies and filtering photos, I do believe that people nowadays become more self-obsessed. A lot of people being obsessed with their faces with stitch on it and to the filter that makes their lips bigger. People generally know when they look good after taking a ton of pictures and they even know what are the angles that look good on them. So, at the end of the day, the reason for the existence of selfies narrowed down to self-obsession--Generation of self-obsessed.

According to an article, "The hunt for more "likes", along with the chance to go viral is pushing the self-obsessed to engage all kinds of idiotic, reckless, and sometimes even life threatening behavior." With this, I could say that having self-obsessed in selfies and photo filtering apps are bad for everyone of us. People must give importance to their real appearance for God created us. People must think that having a lot of likes and followers will not make you feel the real hapiness for only God can show you the real love and hapiness that you have not experienced in your entire life.
