Hello beautiful steemwomen. It's a pleasure to make my first post in this wonderful community.
I would love to share how I spent my day on 14th may 2021.
I woke up quite early on Friday at about 5:00am to enable me rush and meet up with the demands of my clients because its a weekend. I was already having a lot of calls to remind me about their dresses. I had no other choice than to rush to the workshop. Ofcourse as a wife I had to meet with the demands of my husband so I quickly fixed up breakfast of yam and fried eggs, l also had to do some other household chores.
When I arrived at the shop cleaned it up and started making a traditional marriage dress. Though the work was urgent am glad I was able to complete it. Am so sorry I forgot to take pictures of the ruffled sleeve I made and the entire process because I was in a hurry to meet up please pardon me.
I made the upper bodies of this dress a princess dart and the down side a normal two piece skirt joined together to make a gown.
After cutting it , I padded the upper side with xstay and papergum for the lining . From the blouse fabric I carved out the border. After sewing the dress I had to start placing the border in front of the dress using hot glue covering the dart line of the dress. Next With the support of my apprentices @madilyn02 and @encztouch we beaded the dress together as you can see in the pictures below
Am glad the bride came for her pickup that same Friday and was glad to use it on Saturday 15th. She was so happy to see that her dress turned out very beautiful.
This is how it turned out to be .Am so happy I was able to accomplish this.

In conclusion, it was a very hectic and busy day for me but am happy I could put a smile on the face of my bride.
