Hello dear friends and welcome to my diary blog. It was indeed the most happiest day for me in about 5 years. I became an aunt... Ooohh we thank God for that. Let's see how it went.

On Monday morning 20/09/2021 I woke up by 5:00am. After saying my prayers I went to get my sister in law ready to go to the hospital as asked on Saturday. It was more than her time of delivery and so she was to have a surgery. She was scared but my mother, brother and I along with her family gave her encouragement. It was a ghost town and a lockdown in Bamenda because of the crisis and so we trekked to the hospital and by 7:00am we were in the hospital and was immediately attended to and prepared for the surgery. This took about an hour too. I later stepped out to get some food from the house since my brother was already hungry. I had to do some house chores while boiling some rice to eat with the stew that was prepared on Sunday. This took me about 1 hour 20 minutes and then I had my own food too and left for the hospital again.

On my way around the church I had a call from a friend who had come to see me in the hospital. What he told me made me almost fell from running with just. The surgery was successful and it was a baby girl. I was so overjoyed and ran to the hospital. I was so overwhelmed with joy as fought my mother to carry the baby. She too in her happiness didn't want to let go.... hahahaaaaaah.... That's the joy a child brings to the family. My mother is a grandma and I am an aunt.... Hurray!!!.

This excitement was so great that we made so much noise in the hospital. On reaching other family members they were so over joyed and sang songs for born houses in our family group chats. It was all laughter and joy to receive the first grandchild and great granddaughter.

By 2:30pm I went again to the house taking with me some things which were not needed. I had a rest for about 1hour 30 minutes, woke up did some cleaning before my mother came to collect some foodstuff I had bought for them and went home. Since it was raining I waited for a while before going back to the hospital to spend the night with the baby and mother. She was a cute little angel as her name is Angel-Liya, she bonded so well with me and slept so peaceful when I put her to sleep. This was good so her mother could rest too. I slept but was constantly awake to check on them till dawn.

That's a brief of my day yesterday. It was indeed a happy day for me and my family. We thank God for the safe delivery and blessings. Thank you dear ladies for visiting my post.
