Hello Ladies. Today I wanted to share something different.
As you know, there are too many forest fires in Turkey right now. We are going through difficult times as a country. People die, their homes are damaged. But besides that, it was badly affected in the natural world. Bees are the group most affected by these fires. I also wanted to write something about bees. I will be very happy if you can read and benefit from it.

1. There were bees when there were no humans.
The first known bee fossil is 100 million years ago, and the first human fossil is 300 thousand years ago. So there were bees while we were gone.

2. The most hardworking animals are bees.
A bee produces about 1/12th of a teaspoon of honey in its lifetime. For half a kg of honey, a group of honey bees must visit 2 million flowers. So please be respectful to bees :)

3. The bees get along by dancing among themselves.
A bee tells the location and distance of the food source it finds to other bees with a special dance.

4. They are very fast.
Bees flap their wings so fast you wouldn't believe it. A bee flaps its wings 230 times per second. The "whizzing" sound you hear comes from these rapidly flapping wings.

5. Only female bees sting.
Because only female bees have stingers. The sad thing is that honey bees die after stinging someone or something :(

6. Honey bees have 170 olfactory receptors.
In this way, they produce those delicious honeys from flowers that we cannot even smell.

7. How do they distinguish each other?
Of course, with their scent. Each honey bee has its own unique scent. Bees find their colonies thanks to their scent.

8. Bees are man's best friend from the insect species.
Because bees are the only insect that produces food that humans can eat.

9. Work in the summer, eat in the winter..
Bees do not come out of the hives in winter. They continue their lives by eating the honey they have accumulated throughout the summer. They form a tight cluster to keep themselves warm.

10. Bees have 5 eyes.
Honey bees have 6 legs. They have 5 eyes, 2 pairs of wings, a sac and a stomach.

Yes, protecting the natural environment is very important, ladies. That's why we need to stay away from anything that can harm our environment.
