Salu2, hoy quiero compartir el hecho de que tengo mucho tiempo trabajando con windows, office y photoshop, son mis principales herramientas de trabajo. Hace varios años vengo observando la evolución de Linux, he intentado cambiarme varias veces pero no era estable o no contaba con una buena herramienta de retoque fotográfico, lo cual uso mucho porque también desarrollo sitios web y cosas por el estilo. Bueno, llegué a un punto donde el windows me estaba causando problemas, la pc se ponía lenta o colgaba. Claro que yo sé que tiene que ver con el modelo de mi tarjeta madre, la impresora, el scanner y tarjeta de video nvidia viejita.

Revisando mis CD conseguí una versión de linux llamada Zorin os que quemé hace unos meses, tipo rescate, por si acaso. Lo coloqué en la unidad y encendí la maquina en booteo desde esta unidad CD.

Well, I got to a point where windows was causing me problems, the pc would get slow or hang. Of course I know it has to do with the model of my motherboard, printer, scanner and old nvidia video card.

Going through my CD's I got a version of linux called Zorin os which I burned a few months ago, as a rescue, just in case. I put it in the drive and booted the machine from this CD drive.

Para mi sorpresa, reconoció literalmente todos mis componentes, incluso los dos monitores, sonido, red, etc. Visto esto probé el paquete ofimático libre y pude abrir perfectamente todo mis archivo sin ser desordenados ni modificada su apariencia. Pero lo que más me sorprendió fue la capacidad del programa de retoque fotográfico llamado Gimp, pues pude abrir mis archivos en formato origen photoshop .psd sin ningún problema.

To my surprise, it recognized literally all my components, including the two monitors, sound, network, etc. In view of this I tried the free office suite and was able to open all my files perfectly without messing them up or changing their appearance. But what surprised me the most was the capacity of the photo retouching program called Gimp, because I could open my files in photoshop .psd source format without any problem.
