My country is Sri Lanka. Many of you may not know such a country. Sri Lanka is the small teardrop shaped island you see infront of the India in the worldmap. It is the country for 21.8 million people belong to Sinhales, Tamils, Muslims and some other nations.

Sometimes you may have heard, that the world's first female prime minister is from my country. There are so many things about why my country is so special. I'll give 3 of them which I think as most significant.

1. A Country with Majority of Buddhists

70.2% of the population of Sri Lanka is Buddhists. We inherited buddhism from India in the era of King Ashoka in India. There onwards Sri Lanka was a center of protecting pure Theravada Buddhism. After 500 years of Buddha's departure his commentaries were written down in larger books at Sri Lanka by monks. It was a bigger step in Buddhist culture to preserve real buddhist commentaries to the future. Until then they were came by mouth of words.

You can find number of very old buddhist ruins in Sri Lanka. The king or president of the country must be a buddhist. Also the rurlers are always flexible with the advices of Buddhist monks.

Sri Lankan tea is popula as Ceylon tea, it is another name people used to Sri Lanka in the history. We export tea to Middle East, Russia, China, Europ and USA.

As same as Coffee popular in Venezeula, tea is extremely popular in here. The place for tea in Sri Lanka is equals to place for coffe in Latin America.

3. An Awesome Travel Destination

The location of the country has made us a better traveling destination. One can have different kinds of experiences within the country. If you interest in diving, surfing or a sun bath you have the pure blue ocean around the country.

The Spanish transalation is below using google translator. I believe the meanings can be changed
