Hello friends, you're welcome to my blog! I trust you will be well-led as I make my entry given the topic under review. We all have made journeys that didn't turn out as expected, and this didn't just mean it was well thought-out or intended. But life and circumstances happen.

I've had a taste of different travels that turned out sour, but let me choose one of the most recent among them. This happened sometime last year, at the beginning of the year, precisely the first quarter. It was a busy schedule for me at that time as duty demanded I consummate most of these travels positively.

On that fateful day, I left my base en route to my destination, but I had to pass through another state where I needed to pick up my kid's passport, which I'd been told was ready. Just to be able to finish quickly, I left early enough. On getting to the passport office, I had some delays from the immigration officers. Part of which demanded I had to tip them at every table I scaled through.

I never knew this was what precipitated my delay, little did I know, not until I complained. At the time I got done, I was a little behind time. Remember that, my first stop was temporary to help me pick up the kid's IDs, which I later did. However, in all of this, I used the public transport. At this point, I had to wait along the road for a bus heading to my primary destination. This was where I started feeling the bad before me. I had to stand for over 3 hours trying to board a vehicle in my direction.

This got me pretty exhausted the more. The wasted 2 to 3 hours was enough to get me to my journey destination and process my personal ID, which was the intention. I was already getting tensed because any more delay entailed that all plans would be changed, and more financial resources would be entered to keep me afloat. Just when the bus got filled up and moved, I gave up on the entire travel. The sound of the engine, as well as the car's speed, was an indicator I had troubles in my hands.

We were now set to move. The roads were less busy with commuters, but the driver could conveniently make a 70 km/hr speed. This was characterized by several stoppages at different bus stops, refueling, and other frivolities and settlements to the government task force. It was a terrible experience en route to this destination. Because of the stop-and-move style, I was meant to always come down to allow exiting passengers to drop off because of my sitting position. It was quite a handful from all sides.

A journey of an hour while in motion took me about 2 hours. When I got to the immigration office, the office I came to meet was surprised that I was coming at that time. But I told him it was better late than never. I appreciated his effort to facilitate this process. I got my biodata collection and captured it within the next 5 minutes. This was awesome for me as I jetted out to wait for a bus back to the secondary state before finally going back to base.

This was ma already happy that I was attended to expressly now waiting for a bus for over an hour again. It looked as if something was just entirely wrong with my journey. The unnecessary delays that characterized every need to use the public transport route. I waited for over an hour before I got a bus going, and just as expected, this was a repetition of my earlier experience. The stoppages, the settlements, and everything one could think of. Before I could get to this hub, it was obvious my subsequent journey to base would be late.

I got off the bus, heading straight to the park, a final route to my base. But the problem now was passengers's availability to fill up the car. At a time, I had to pay for an extra seat for myself to quicken this movement. It was already becoming messy at that moment. Everyone was becoming agitated, but luckily the car got filled up, and we left a few minutes after the hour of 7pm. I've already positioned my mind this was a late night journey given that, we the number of hours before arrival. I projected 3 hours but it took us at least 4 hours.

For the rigorous experience on the road, it is quite an eye-opener. Aside from the pothole concerns that slowed our movement, there were many other incessant police activities we couldn't imagined. The tips on the road were monumental, and they were found just after each kilometer traveled. This was commendable to have their presence on the road but collecting tips from motorists was the height of it all. I may not be able to explain this, but I got home sometime around 11 pm. It was really a stressful one that came with various levels of inconvenience.

I knew that if I had used my private car for this, not that I would only come back early but all these stress levels would have been ameliorated.

What scenario or incident made it your worst-ever travel

I have used public transport in the past,t and this wasn't just the first of its kind but this came with lots of trouble. The inconveniences from boarding vehicles that increased my anxiety levels for a long time weren't a good one for me. The car movement that crawled against my expected speed level for someone behind schedule was quite self-consuming.

How about embarking on a journey of such, knowing fully it was going to be a late-night trip considering the insecurity on our highways? I was trapped between coming back home and not spending anymore, leaving me in a draining moment of stagnation. The risk level was unlikely for me,e and I don't wish to delve into these circumstances again.

Did you for once regret going on that journey? Tell us about your opinion.

Not at all. It was a good one for as the intention and purpose was for good and not for pleasure and frivolities. From start to finish, it was all intended for a premium purpose; I have no regrets of any kind. However, my little regret was not using my personal car for this journey to help facilitate easy movement and ameliorate the experienced inconveniences.

Tell us what made you go for that travel. Did you achieve it?

The essence of this journey was a family decision that tended to solve a problem and bring better tidings to it. I was to pick up my kid's passport IDs as well as renew mine for purposes best ideal for the family. My joy in all of this was that I was able to achieve ALL of these. Just the way it was planned, it got executed despite the fact this came with a price.

Thank you, friends...
