I'm glad to share to you Saturday memories of my traditional marriage, a day i will never forget!
After declaring my intention to the love of my life! Boom we set a beautiful Saturday for our traditional marriage which was March 7th 2020, i got up early morning made arrangement, zoom we embarked on the journey with my father, mother, friends and other male relatives to knock on the bride's family’s door..
Gosh! It was a long journey but finally we arrived with my family
I was highly excited so we met with the family of my wife! the welcome reception was lovely!
My wife and friends came in beautiful outfit to welcome us!
They further welcome us with Kola nut after which is the payment of the dowry or bride price The final traditional ceremony is called Igba Nkwu or “wine carrying' At this lively event, the bride which is now my wife search for me hiding among the crowd of men
She dances joyfully to offer me a cup of wine, oh my God what a great feeling
She gave me a cup of wine: i drank, finally we're then declared married, husband and wife!
