Greetings dear friends. Welcome to my SEC blog. I hope everyone is very well and healthy by the grace of Almighty Allah. Alhamdulillah, I am fine today. We have come to the last day of Steemit engagement challenge week 5 and today I am going to participate in the "Reflexiones de Vida" community's contest and their topic for this week is ""Preservation of the planet: Animals threatened with extinction"" The contest is great and I came away with my opinion on this matter. So without delay let's start today's main topic.

Mention some causes that have encouraged the extinction of animals.

All animals on earth have the right to live beautifully. However, due to various natural and man-made reasons, animals are heading towards extinction. We have already seen many animals become extinct and some animals are on their way to extinction. Some of the important reasons for the extinction of these animals are:

Destruction of animal habitats:

• Humans are constantly destroying forests for their own convenience, which is one of the reasons for the breeding of animal habitats. Animals are leaving the place where they felt safe to live but to destroy the habitat and because of which the ecosystem of that place is destroyed and other animals are harmed and once the animals start to become extinct.

Natural disaster:

• Natural disasters are a causes of animal extinction even if there is no human intervention. Many animals lose their lives due to natural disasters such as floods, storms, forest fires, and among them many animals may become extinct.

Hunting:

• Hunting is another reason and because of this many animals of the world are now extinct. We hunt animals and birds for many reasons, and one of the reasons is animal skin, teeth, horns, which are used to make valuable things. Because of this, many animals are decreasing and going extinct.

Environmental Pollution:

• Due to environmental pollution, the habitat is becoming unsuitable for animals especially due to soil, water and air pollution. As we throw out our non-biodegradable wastes and the fumes and effluents from factories spread into the environment, it poses a threat to animals, so animals are forced to relocate and those areas become empty.

What animals are in risk of extinction? You can refer to those that are endangered in your country or region where you live.

We have many animals in Bangladesh which are now on the verge of extinction. Some of the animal names are Garial, Freshwater Crocodile, Blue Bull, Bengal Roof Furtle & Royal Bengal Tiger. There are also many other animals that are on the verge of extinction from Bangladesh. And human intervention is behind their extinction because animals are disappearing due to human destruction of forests, hunting, excessive human movement in forests, excessive noise and environmental pollution of forests.

The national animal of our Bangladesh is the Royal Bengal Tiger which can be seen in the Sundarbans but at present this animal has reduced to less than a century. We fear that this Royal Bengal Tiger may not be seen in our country in the future soon. There are some poachers who hunt them and sell their body parts at high prices. We often see these animals in zoos and because their number is very small, they are not able to reproduce at the right time and so their number is slowly starting to decrease as their number increases.

What measures do you suggest are necessary to apply to preserve animals threatened with extinction?

I would like to strongly recommend two measures for the conservation of endangered species and they are:

1.Taking direct government intervention by implementing laws measures to protect wild animals.

• The people of the country are obliged to obey the laws given by the government, so if the government enforces strict laws for the protection of wild animals, then the people will be afraid to destroy the forest, poach animals, and pollute. I think this is one of the best ways to prevent animal extinction. Because we are responsible for the extinction of animals, so if strict laws are enforced and measures are taken on us, then we will refrain from such evil deeds, then the environment will be fine and animals can live safely and reproduce.

2.Be aware of yourself and make others aware.

• We understand the difference between good and evil but we indulge in such evil deeds even when we understand it. The problem is that we do not see any immediate results and therefore think that there is no problem in deforestation, poaching, environmental pollution. We think that destroying a small part of the forest or hunting an animal will not be a problem, but when one person does it this way, it becomes very big at a time and then we see the results. So of course I think it's important to make yourself aware first and then make others aware to prevent this from happening. Maybe through this work we can prevent animal extinction.

Let's reflect a little: What would be your calling in the preservation of species in threatened with extinction?

Animals are now becoming endangered all over our world. And we are most responsible for this. And for all our activities these animals are endangered, we have to identify them first. I think that people who live in houses do not make much of an impact to destroy the environment.

However, as much as they are affecting the environment, they should take measures themselves. We never make our house dirty for our stay and always keep it clean and beautiful. As we also live in the environment, why can't we keep our environment clean? Of course, we are oblivious here and we are already aware when we consider the environment as our home.

I think our industries are more responsible for our pollution and extinction of animals because they occupy the environment to a large extent. First of all destroying forests and creating industry which is threatening the habitat of animals and secondly the fumes and waste water emitted from them are causing huge damage to our environment. Because they release this pollution into the environment without purification. And for which our environment and animal lives are at risk.
