Greetings friends.. how are you fairing today?? It's actually my first time posting in this community and it's a privilege to also participate in this week's steemit engagement challenge. Today, we will be discussing about conscience. Below gat my entry;

Why do our youth and adolescents act with more violence

There are thousands reasons and more why our youths nowadays reacts violently. Firstly, Media Influence. Most of what our youths watch and see on internet have made a very negative impact in their lives. The internet is now like a big form of negativity influencer. Some watch nudes, porns, getty images, etc and engage themselves into immoral activities.

Secondly, Peer Pressure. They kind of friends we keep can influence us either negatively or postively. Some people who comes into our lives changes us and we begin to react violently and harshly to our elderly ones. Adolescents these days don't have respect for their elders. they insult, and sometimes ends up fighting with them.

Thirdly, Insufficient Parental Supervision. Most parents now don't spend much time with their children. They don't know how their children behave or react to people. Their businesses have taken the time which they suppose to use on their children. Some parents goes to work very early in the morning and still come at late hours of the night. They supervise their children and don't even care about their whereabouts during the day which is very bad.

What can we do to improve this situation or behavior?

There are many solutions and alternatives to this situations. This solutions are in our hands, but we don't seem to figure out. Parents should strain their children away from bad friends because "Evil communication corrupts good manners". If your child interacts with unreasonable friends, surely he/she must join the bad gang.

Another point is that parents should also get to know what their children watch on the internet. Alot of evil and bad things are on the internet including bribery, fraud, etc. We should supervise our children inorder not to go the wrong way.

Why is today's society more apathetic to the pain of others? Have you had to help others?

The society is now turning into something else. Most of our youths now indulge themselves into immoral acts like extorting money from people online, fraud, bribery, etc. Also, in Nigeria the government is not helping at all. I don't really push much blame on them because the economy of our country is very hard and everybody is struggling to survive.

Helping people matters alot. Actually, I have helped one of my friends last month to get work in one of a very big reputable company in Nigeria. She thanked me alot promised to suprise me in return. Helping people is good and I love to help people who also have the same goal, motive and direction with me.

Could you list some of the principles that were instilled in you or you instill in your family?

Honestly speaking, my family has been the best in the world..😌 especially my mum. She taught me and my siblings how to be respectful, honest, truthful, responsible, showing kindness, sense of humor, integrity, etc. My parents made sure they instilled all of these into us. Like this am fully grown now, nothing can make me loose those principles and morals she have impacted in my life.
