Why do our young people and adolescents act with more violence? Explain some reasons that you think are the reasons
The forms of violence among young people have increased, and it is no longer strange to hear or read about incidents of violence and riots inside schools and in the street. This young man stabs another with a knife during a quarrel and another fires bullets.
I believe that universal access to information and communication technologies such as the Internet and its various social networks has a great responsibility for driving young people towards underestimating violence.
Today, through the Internet, acts of violence, aggressive language and a deviant lifestyle are highlighted through films, series and social networks, and young people in and outside schools see in it a certain sign of modernity and coexistence with the times and everything. This has become widespread because not everyone wants to be seen as different.
What can we do to improve this situation or this behavior? You can mention two alternatives
THERE is no single solution to eliminating violence in the world, but several approaches can help reduce violence and create more peaceful societies:
- Education and awareness: Teaching tolerance, understanding and non-violence from a young age can help break the cycle of violence.
- Justice and reform of the criminal justice system: A fair and equitable justice system can deter people from committing violent acts and help deal with the consequences of violence.
- Economy and development: Improving economic and living conditions can reduce tensions and conflicts that can lead to violence.
- Dialogue and negotiation: Encouraging dialogue between conflicting parties can help resolve disputes peacefully and prevent violence.
- International cooperation: International cooperation is crucial to addressing the root causes of violence, such as economic inequality, armed conflict and political violence.
It is important to note that the complete elimination of violence is a long-term process that requires constant collaboration and ongoing commitment from all parties involved.
Why is today's society more apathetic to the pain of others, of others? Explain some reasons.
Condemning an entire society is devoid of objectivity but there is a danger that negative behavior will prevail in many societies including my country’s society in Tunisia when a lack of compassion towards others becomes prevalent in people’s public life.
Perhaps some people will not like this expression but what is worse than all of this is that most of them do not realize that this behavior has actually penetrated them. Is there any hope of finding an iota of compassion in people’s hearts amidst this bleak environment?
Why do we no longer immediately put ourselves in the place of others, pity their plight, and content ourselves with the role of spectator, without trying to save the victim or stop the perpetrator from his recklessness, and most of the time we are busy recording the crime with our phones as if we are in front of an exciting comedy scene for entertainment?
Nothing happens in isolation from the factors of social culture , which is the fabric that determines the nature of its owners’ actions and way of thinking and it also addresses their ability to emotionally share their pain with others.
It is difficult to condemn an entire society for the behavior of criminal groups within it, but the condemnation becomes double when the level of sense of responsibility towards others declines, and this is what all civilized societies in the world work on, and for this reason charitable organizations were created to help and support those in need of compassion and to stand with them.
Ultimately, it can be said that we are all one part of individuals and groups whose threads are intertwined with the complex networks of society. The heroes and braves, who have become a minority among us today, will have a positive impact on society as a whole. We must also realize that when we address someone's violent behaviour, we must also remember that we may have already influenced the thinking of entire generations.
Have you had to help others?
It's hard to remain unresponsive when you see someone having difficulty. What could make us hand a piece of grass to an ant to drown? Or pick up an abandoned cat/dog? Or telling a passerby that he just lost his wallet? We have no interest in doing so but we do it without looking any further.
If it were up to us we would do it ourselves. Otherwise, we can always ask for help. However, it is often difficult when we see someone in danger not to panic!
What lies behind this reflex is another story. The noblest motives can accompany the worst motives: compassion, altruism, pride, well-understood self-interest, the need to show off , because we need to keep looking at ourselves in the mirror in the morning , because that's the way we were raised , because one day a complete stranger did it for us.
You may not dig too deep, you risk disappointing yourself... In the end, it's the result that matters, right?
But in my opinion, if we are inclined to help others it is only because it is an inherent tendency in us. Since our distant ancestors roamed the desert and when mutual aid was synonymous with survival. In short, because he is human.
Could you list some of the principles that were instilled in you or that you instill in your family?
There are many of these principles that I cannot give up, including:
The principle of respecting others: Regardless of my love or hatred for a person, it is natural for me to respect him. My feelings have nothing to do with my love or hatred for a person. Respect is your duty and a right for every person you deal with.
The principle of accepting others: Each of us has convictions or orientations that we do not give up on, but on the other hand, no one has the right to reject the other person’s convictions and alienate him. Religion or race does not require that I reduce my acceptance of another person. Every person has his own religion, belief, and private life. As long as he is not exposed to me, I will accept him no matter what. It was, and I sanctify my religion and belief and I cannot give it up no matter what the reason is, because religion is an identity and a person without an identity is worthless.
The principle of redressing thoughts: One of the principles closest to my heart is redressing people’s thoughts and patting on the shoulder of everyone I see sad. Sometimes some of us go through painful situations and need someone to pat them on the shoulder and comfort them, and if you do well, you do well for yourselves, meaning when I redress the mind of a person in need of a material or moral matter. One day it will come back to me, so I cannot give up on this idea of mine and accept the idea of breaking a person’s heart, no matter how much harm he causes me. Every good or evil I do will be repaid to me one day.
The principle of cultural exchange: Each of us has a specific culture, and with the presence of social networking sites, openness to cultures has become necessary. Therefore, I have no problem learning something from a different culture as long as it does not conflict with my beliefs. A person must be flexible and learn from anyone.
Principles are an integral part of a person's being, and each of us must have his own principles and not neglect them, regardless of the compensation or reason. In addition, there are general principles that a person must adhere to, such as respecting others and accepting the race or religion of others.
