Rangpur Medical College Hospital is a traditional charitable institution in North Bengal. The foundation stone of this hospital was laid on 75 acres of land. Since then the service activities of the hospital started. The number of beds in this hospital is 1000. The health care activities of this hospital can be divided into several parts.
There is an indoor department, outdoor department, emergency department and ambulance service. In addition, Diarrhea Training Unit, EPI Program, EOC Program, Dots Corner, MR Clinic, Model Family Planning Clinic, Breast Feeding Center, Social Service Program, etc. The organization is working to serve a large number of distressed people in 6 districts. But there is only one operation theater. The time required to perform an operation is two to six hours. So how is it possible to operate on so many patients every day? ’But he is not disappointed, the situation will pass.Medical College Hospital has a management committee. This committee needs to be made more active. Involving local public representatives can help increase the quality of service. At the same time, the type of supervision needs to be changed. It is difficult for a director to manage this huge task.Physicians are often victims of state injustice. Despite that, they go with medical services. Sometimes he is harassed even without guilt. Let me tell you an incident I saw myself: A doctor has been on duty for five days and five nights at the Upazila Hospital due to shortage of doctors. Went to the quarters to eat a little at noon. Due to the absence of a doctor at that time, the people of the patient were killed. The value of accepting this sacrifice of the doctor is neither with the people nor with the state.Writer and doctor Mofizul Islam not only blamed the doctors but also urged them to be responsible in the meeting. He said, ‘Once a doctor delayed coming to the medical. When the patient's people started abusing him, the hospital boy came and said to the patient's people, what are you saying? Sir, he has come to treat you after his son's janaza. 'The hospital authorities heard a lot of hope. All the pathology machines are fine now. There is a system to inform the patients how much money is required for any examination. Sophisticated operating theaters, Kidney Ward, have recently been introduced in many departments. And the digital complaint box is on. There is an opportunity to report any kind of complaint directly to the ministry. The Ministry took immediate action.There are some limitations due to the weakness of the treatment method. Not all of this is the responsibility of physicians. Public-private cooperation is essential for the initiative taken by the Rangpur Medical College Hospital Authority to make this hospital the most trusted place of medical care for all the people of Rangpur Division.
