Free upgrade from Windows 7
Last year, Microsoft stopped providing all kinds of updates for the Windows 7 operating system.
Microsoft wants customers to use the Windows 10 operating system as an alternative. When Windows 10 was first released in July 2015,
Microsoft offered Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 users the opportunity to upgrade for free. This opportunity was until July 2017.
Windows 7 users will no longer receive Microsoft security updates or technical support for any issues unless they upgrade to the latest version; Which puts the computer at risk of viruses and malware.
Although Windows 10 users have received several new updates; But upgrading is the best option to keep your computer safe. And users are also embracing that option.
According to a Microsoft report in March this year, Windows 10 now has more than 100 million active users worldwide. If you want, you can easily buy Windows 10 operating system from Microsoft's website.
The price will be 139 dollars or about 12 thousand rupees! However, if you already have the original Windows 8 on your computer, there is a chance to upgrade to Windows 10 without spending this money.
The opportunity is being given by Microsoft itself. In fact, there is an opportunity to upgrade for free till 2018, but it is still being upgraded in the same process.
To get it, you must be a 'Home' or 'Pro' version of Microsoft Windows 7, 8 and 7.1.
To upgrade Windows, first go to www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 from a web browser. Here you have to click on 'Download Tool Now' under 'Create Windows 10 Installation Media'. Then you have to run.
Now select 'Upgrade This PC Now'. Follow the instructions below. When the upgrade is complete, go to 'Settings Update & Security> Activation. Here you will see the digital license of Windows 10.
If you have a Windows 7 or 8 Home license, you can only update to Windows 10 Home, similarly you can only update from Windows 7 or 8 Pro to Windows 10 Pro.
This feature does not apply to Windows Enterprise users.
