SUT - Steemit New User Tracking Hosting Cost and Usage

Steemit New User Tracking (#SUT)

As I am working and maintaining the Steemit New User Tracking application on Microsoft Azure, It uses Steem Blockchain Condensor API to pull the data and process/display as per #SUT user interface. I would like to share an update on it's hosting cost and usage for the last 2 months i.e. November and December 2020.

Hosting Details & Cost till December 31st, 2020.

Steemit New User Tracking is hosted on Microsoft Azure, below is the Azure resources list which is used to run the application.

SteemitNewUserJob (background job runs daily)
SteemUserTracking SQL Database
SteemSQL - SQLServer
SteemUT - App Service
Steem - Resource group

So actual hosting cost till date is 811 INR (appx. USD 11) and the forecast till December end is 922 INR (appx. USD 12.8). I am also regularly monitoring the application and background job to make sure the application is up and running and also fixing bugs from time to time.

I am continuously working on enhancing the features of #SUT and trying to make it useful for the Steem Greeter Team, I have added active/dormant users list of India and Sri Lanka already here.

I will update this list with the remaining countries Newcomers soon.

May I ask if STEEMSQL still works? I tried to connect but failed.

So, lately, I was looking at one of the APIs provided by justyy that tracks new user accounts. There seems to be some data mismatch between the two.

So, I think the design is to run a background job once every day to update the database of new users. This would mean that the correct number would be updated tonight correct?

However, the count of new users for the date 21-12-2020 also seems to be incorrect.

Is there some logic that's filtering out some accounts? Or is this a bug? Please have a look at this once.

Yes, there is a filter added in #SUT to show only accounts that has published at least 1 blog/post so that on genuine account Steem Greeter team could comment/reply or guide with instructions so that new users could follow the right path from the beginning.
