Victoria y Sofía mis pequeñas y grandes también, niñas de mi vida y mi corazón. Yo las celebro desde que estaban en mi vientre, porque entonces comenzó la fiesta, la alegría y la celebración. Están creciendo sí, lo sé y no es fácil aceptarlo, pero serán siempre mis chiquitas, porque las veo con los mismo ojos de mamá ya que para mi no hay cambios. Ciertamente el tiempo pasa y no se detiene, muy rápido para mi gusto, por lo tanto no debo permitirme desperdiciar ni un segundo con ustedes, debo aprovechar y vivir cada momento al máximo.

Victoria and Sofia, my little and big ones too, girls of my life and my heart. I celebrate them since they were in my womb, because then the party, the joy and the celebration began. They are growing up, yes, I know and it is not easy to accept it, but they will always be my little ones, because I see them with the same eyes of a mother, since for me there are no changes. Certainly time passes and does not stop, too fast for my taste, so I must not allow myself to waste a second with you, I must take advantage and live every moment to the fullest.

Hace días comentaba en un grupo que hasta que edad se celebra el día del niño, porque si bien, ahora desde los 10 años muchos se creen grandes y no quieren carritos ni muñecas. Aunque mentalmente siguen siendo infantiles, entonces cuando les conviene son niños y otras veces grandes. En líneas generales así están los niños-adolescentes de esta época, por lo tanto cuando llega esta fecha festiva uno ya no sabe si organizarles el día del niño o no.

A few days ago I commented in a group that until what age the children's day is celebrated, because even though, now from the age of 10 many believe they are grown up and do not want strollers or dolls. Although mentally they are still children, then when it suits them they are children and other times big. Generally speaking, this is how children-teenagers are at this time, so when this festive date arrives, one does not know whether to organize Children's Day for them or not.

Yo vivo en carne propia este dilema con mis dos hijas, porque justo están atravesando esta etapa de indecisión en la que soltaron las muñecas hace rato, quieren dejar de ser niñas pero es imposible que sean adultas tampoco. Algunos especialistas dicen que esto es la Preadolescencia, etapa donde requieren su espacio y tiempo, incluso andan experimentado muchos cambios, especialmente físicos.

I live in the flesh this dilemma with my two daughters, because they are going through this stage of indecision in which they let go of their dolls a while ago, they want to stop being girls but it is impossible for them to be adults either. Some specialists say that this is pre-adolescence, a stage where they need their space and time, and they are even going through many changes, especially physical ones.

Hoy 18 de julio se celebra el Día del Niño en Venezuela, por supuesto todos los años desde que nacieron lo celebramos con sus destellos de colores y un mundo de caramelos y globos. Ya una es adolescente con 13 años y la otra entrando apenas a ese mundo con sus 10 años, recordando a cada momento que ya no son niñas. Ellas quieren ser grandes pero celebrando el día del niño, así me dijeron, Pues hoy hay alegría en esta casa, dulces y perros calientes también, las comidas sus favoritas claro ésta y el desayuno sus adoradas Panquecas con sirope de chocolate en cantidad, aunque sufro viendo tanto dulce.

Today July 18th is Children's Day in Venezuela, of course every year since they were born we celebrate it with their flashing colors and a world of candies and balloons. One is already a teenager with 13 years old and the other one is just entering that world with her 10 years, remembering every moment that they are not little girls anymore. They want to be big but celebrating children's day, so they told me, Well today there is joy in this house, candy and hot dogs too, their favorite meals of course this and breakfast their beloved pancakes with chocolate syrup in quantity, although I suffer seeing so much candy.

Aquí estamos celebrando los grandes también, a disfrutar la vida. Solo pido que Dios las bendiga a mi dos damitas. Las amo infinitamente, con sus temperamentos y cambios de humor, niñas o adolescentes, serán mis eternas consentidas y por eso como todos los años prepare sus bolsitas sorpresas con presentes que varían cada año de acuerdo a su edad. Igualmente les elabore sus tarjeticas, en algunos años les he elaborado cartas y dibujos también.

Here we are celebrating the great ones too, enjoy life. I only ask God to bless my two little ladies. I love them infinitely, with their temperaments and mood swings, girls or teenagers, they will be my eternal darlings and that is why as every year I prepare their little surprise bags with gifts that vary each year according to their age. I also make their cards, and in some years I have also made letters and drawings for them.

Con esto también quiero decir que el amor a nuestros hijos no se muestra solo con grandes o costosos regalos, sobre todo porque hay momentos con la economía difícil. Se pueden abrazar y decirles cuantos los ama y hacerle la comida diferente y creativa, con el internet se pueden ayudar porque hay una variedad de alternativas. Esta también el uso de material de reciclaje para elaborar una manualidad, algo bonito y lleno de cariño.

With this I also want to say that love for our children is not only shown with big or expensive gifts, especially because there are times when the economy is difficult.
