Booming Curation Cases.jpg

Our team is working hard right now to find the plagiarism in order to stop it. we want to keep the steem clean from scammer and reward farmer. We are always trying to stop plagiarism, scam posts, identity theft, phishing links, and reward farming case. there are many things that are on trending here.

  • AI Content
  • Identity theft
  • Reward farming

But now a new thing that our whole team assume, it is relationship support. i think you all will confused by this news. but relationship curation is on trending now. there are several cases that we judge and caught from different perspective and point of view.

First Case

First case of @tyboo user, here is the profile link of this account. https://steemit.com/@tayboo/posts

The user came on steemit two month ago and is invited by @malikusman1. Both users are from OKARA city and study at OKARA University. they have mentioned in the introduction post.

She posts in two communities, one is Seem for Pakistan and second is Steem4bloggers. she publishes a post on weekend base and get the Booming support from these two communities. These community are handling by same persons. A Question is raised here. on which base the booming support is giving to her posts, is it active user? it is the Nepotism case. the booming curation is giving on her posts by community admins on the base of relationship.

Each and every post is curated by Booming and SC04-SC09 that is very disgusting. the proper support is giving to this account on relational base.

We request to @steemcurator01, @steemcurator02. please look into these cases and take action on it whoever we can stop this activity.

I tried to ask about this case to community admins but on this case the behavior of community admins and moderators were very rude and offensive.

Some posts are curated by @ripon0630. we say to stop her curation then he gave this response,

Second Case

Second case is again belonged to Steem4bloggers community. the username is @sawera1. here is her profile link. https://steemit.com/@sawera1/posts. she hides her identity.

This is also a Nepotism case. user make 4 posts in one month and get 4 booming vote by steem4bloggers team that was very suspicious activity. In this community, curations are base of relations. It's our responsibility to explain each and every activity to steemit team.

Overall engagement of this user on steemit is zero. he come after a week and do post then get reward from community team and gone away.

This user was invited by @shamu01 and @shamu01 is also from OKARA. he mentioned the city name in the bio. the screenshot is shared below.

Request to all curators to pay attention on these types of activity and help us to stop it otherwise reward farming will ruin the future of steemit.

Hello dear brother @bountyking5 brother.

First of all thank you for this report because I was expecting this from you. Let me clear one thing before you, there is a rule that we have to follow that we can only allocate 3 booming votes to the users in 7 days. As most of the users in our community are from Bangladesh and Pakistan who work in many other communities so they already had their booming votes filled out, mostly. That's why, we prefer to select only those users who did not receive 3 votes in last 7 days.

Another thing is that we prefer those posts which are not supported by other small curators (sc04-sc09).

In this community, curations are base of relations.

Please, don't make wrong allegations without any proof. If someone is receiving constant support than it doesn't mean that they are receiving support on relationship base. Let me make one thing clear.

In Steem4Bloggers community, booming posts are not nominated by a single team member. We have a schedule and every moderator select booming posts on his own day.

So, it's totally unfair and wrong to conclude that they are getting support on the relationship basis. Because, every moderator is not the relative of these users.

Alas! You are judging the efforts of someone by just two users. Not considering the hard work that we are doing for the betterment of platform. Blaming someone is totally immoral my friend, please confirm everything before doing so.

Anyways, I again thank you for letting us know about the things that are happening. But again, these are just receiving votes for the above mentioned reasons otherwise there is not any particular attention of us towards them. But I would again say that it is not based on our planning or so. It was totally fortunate for these users and we ensure to pay more attention towards these users while nomination of Booming posts. These accounts are under our observation now.

My Greetings.

I appreciate our communities team hard work and transparency and no doubt we believe on our communities team . Hope they will continue their outstanding efforts no way what baseless negative criticism passes on them .

I agree with you. We all select the posts in out respective days and we are not doing anything unfair we are trying to support each user in our community.Does this user @tayboo and @sawera1 are the relatives of everyone in our group?

The community has different schedule dates for MODs to review articles and select publications for booming. We are paired in 2s and everyone select 3 best user after checking the quality of the post and also checking to be sure that they said user has not receive booming in the community for the week or has not exceeded the 3x booming for the week. These selections are still checked by @steemdoctor1 to be sure they meet the requirement. I guess if the users receive booming this much we can consider that as coincident and will also work hard next time to distribute the booming support to more users. Thanks for drawing our attention to this.

This will only be true if the booming nominations are in the hands of one person. I agree with @steemdoctor1 that booming posts are selected individually by one member on his day. Also, we are the ones that always follow the Steemit Team rule, which states that a user can get a maximum of 3 booming votes in a week, so we always follow it. We always support valid users that meet the Steemit Team rules, like being plagiarism-free, bot-free, active club members, and verified users. And In Steem for Pakistan I have not the charge of selecting booming posts.

For the account verification that some respectable members are connecting with my name, I think vidio call is the best option.

Hi @steemcurator01

This user @tayboo get only 1 booming vote 23 days before from Steem For Pakistan and I think it's not any kind of nepotism from my community and even this is not Curated By me as curator @steemcurator04 account.

https://steemit.com/hive-180106/@tayboo/7-april-2023-the-diary-game-invited-in-school-yellow-day-celebration

Other user @sawera1 is not active in Steem For Pakistan. Her last post was 2months before.

I don't understand why @bountyking5 mentioned *** Steem For Pakistan*** here

@suboohi @malikusman1 @steemdoctor1 @ripon0630

Would you like to make a response to these accusations against your communities?

Greetings sir sc01, I was waiting for your response to response you back. Friend @bountyking5 as mentioned my discord reply conversation that happened just a day ago in 28th February and I was agree with him about the user being suspicious but as he didn’t help me giving strong evidence to take any action against the user so I was waiting for something strong against the user. (See screenshot I asked for the evidence at that day in 28th February)

I'm a steem representative plus a greeter and my work to invite and welcome new users in this platform so without any strong evidence I can't discourage any user working in this platform but if I caught him(user) red handed I'll definitely took necessary actions. Thanks for the trust honorable steemit team and keep me asking anything and I'll make things clear to prove that I'm an honest SR in this platform to work here with the aim to work for long time so I try to avoid maximum issues that can spoil my reputation as CR, Greeter and SR. Thanks for the kind understanding!

Yes, we want to disclose these cases through a reports that’s why we delay to share the Evidence to you

Greetings friend @bountyking5

I fully agree with what the friend @fredquantum shares, it is a silent strategy that he has been carrying out for a long time and that starts from the creation of ghost communities to try to obtain the support resources provided by the Steemit team for his own benefit .

It is unfortunate that some leaders use for their own benefit or in a corrupt way the support resources that should be allocated to the promotion of the active community and that is constantly showing serious activity.

All these cases must be consolidated and shown so that the Steemit team has a full vision of who will be given the responsibility of managing these resources.

Thanks for this good job.

We are afraid of this such activity that is going on steemit for money making.

You are right, dear friend @adeljose. Unfortunately, when it's a coordinated scheme they would always find a way to come up with excuses to defend the course.

But come to think of it, is it possible for a user who is barely active to get these supports on almost 98% of his/her articles as identified by @bountyking5? This is an indication that something is wrong, regardless of whatever excuse or defense (remember, a coordinated scheme is hard to break).

That said, some time ago a CR was caught having replied "Thank you" to a curator's upvote's comment on another user's article (which was a mistake on his side because he didn't know he was operating his main account at that moment). In short, this person came up with an excuse that the owner of the account was busy and he has helped him to manage the account. Even though we knew that was a lie because he owns the account, Does operating an account on behalf of another person satisfy the Proof of Brain (PoB) STEEM was built on?

Such occurrence has paved the way for so many scammers and it's having a huge effect on the ecosystem. Many things need to be tightened up to enjoy a healthy Steem ecosystem.

Hello @bountyking5, thanks so much for the writ up and for bringing this up. However, what I can say is that you are wrong in so many areas as you wrongly say posts are selected in steem4bloggers community base on relationship. We work in this community as a group and each of us have separate days of selecting articles. We always select a articles in this community following Steemit rules without any relationship attached to it. For a single person to receive constant support as you claim is not something we have program and for the fact that the person is attached to @malikusman1 doesn’t means he favors him all the times because he is not the one choosing the user all times as you claim.

In our community, we work with unity and passion keeping Steemit rule into consideration. So something like this which you have brought up is not what you think and I’m a witness of this guy @malikusman1. He is a very hard working Steemian and I do admire him a lot. He works tirelessly to ensure the community is clean from abuse and other bad

CC : @steemcurator01

Some community leaders have turned scammers long ago and have utilized their authority/positions to cheat the system. Without much talk, it's evident such accounts were set up for the business of reward farming via booming/SC's upvotes.

Not too new to me anyway, some of the admins/mods' accounts have been caught a few times in a lot of abuses but nobody really cared about the red flags. Without any doubt, this occurrence wasn't coincidental in any way, it's intentional (well managed by community admins/mods).

I'm sorry to say, many of them have utilized a method like this for money movement while they boast of #club100 and continually drain the ecosystem via many accounts.

Thanks for the important piece, @bountyking5. It interests me always to fish out scammers, a clean Steem ecosystem is certain if every community leader is willing to be true and fight the course.

Well, all are here are my friends so, I hope this matter should be solved with ease, and true people should not face any problem here. But this type of thing should be stopped, it is very shameful and disgusting thing even I faced similar things in some communities but as a normal user I'm unable to complaint anywhere, but now thanks to our abuse watcher team who gave his focus to this matter as well.

Thank you, @bountyking5.

With time, we will handle everything with time. There are a lot of suspicious users that are involved in reward farming. We are handling to resolve one by one.

This is a huge disaster for the steemit ecosystem when admins/mods promote the unethical and non hardworking users for curation. Infact, a lot of members are posting on daily basis but they don't get enough support because of their low repotation but these cases are really very suspicious.

Curation is somewhat like a motivation for newbies but it doesn't mean that we keep on curating non hardworking members. Votes should be awarded to responsible and real content creators. This report has explained a lot of flaws going on in steemit. Alas!

@rme team has been working day and night to eradicate the corrupt members from this platform and I hope this report will be a warning ⚠️ for those who are involved in these activities.

A big thumbs up for @bountyking5 for evaluating these cases. We should work together as we are like a family.

This is a huge disaster for the steemit ecosystem when admins/mods promote the unethical and non hardworking users for curation

They are not promoting these users rather they are the ones that own the accounts.

I agree with you

Our mission is to make this ecosystem clean from such activities. We will not tolerate with these activities.

How do they get support from steem if they cheat? Have you created a community to earn money on many accounts?

You guys are always working hard to keep Steemit clean. But those who are aware should make the unaware people aware. However, despite being a conscious person, if the way is like an unconscious person, then how will Steemit progress! We should all be aware of our own place. Thank you for looking into these. (thank you)
