Kodam Iskandar Muda, Saturday (10/26/2024) held a roll call for the Rapid Reaction Disaster Management Troops (PRCPB) at Infantry Battalion 113/JS, Bireuen.
The roll call was led by Colonel Infantry Ari Maulana S Sos MHan as the Assistant for Operations (Asops) Kasdam Iskandar Muda and Lieutenant Colonel Infantry Dobby Noviyanto S SE. Danyonif 113/JS acted as the roll call commander.
The activity aims to strengthen preparedness in facing natural disaster contingencies in the Kodam IM area, considering that Aceh and its surroundings are prone to disasters such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, and forest fires.
IM Military Commander Major General Niko Fahrizal in his message read by Asops Kasdam IM reminded the importance of checking the readiness of personnel and equipment of Yonif 113/JS as the main part of PRCPB.
These troops will be on standby for six months. Especially entering the fourth week of October to ensure that disaster response in their area can run optimally.
The Military Commander added that the roll call is not just a routine, but a reflection of Kodam IM's commitment to supporting the local government in disaster management efforts quickly and effectively.
It is hoped that the physical readiness and skills of each personnel must have the appropriate physical, mental, and skills readiness to be able to respond to emergency situations quickly and appropriately.
Equipment checks must be carried out periodically, with a focus on optimal readiness. Then, disaster management requires cooperation with other agencies, including BPBD, BASARNAS, and the community.
This collaboration is very important to minimize casualties and material losses. Every operation must prioritize discipline and loyalty to duties and commands. Strong discipline will maintain the safety of the team and the community.
In front of the troops, the Pangdam also reminded, in carrying out their duties, the PRCPB troops were asked to act humanely, showing that the TNI is here to protect the community with empathy and high concern.
At the end of his message, the TNI's readiness and dedication in facing potential natural disasters, as part of efforts to maintain the safety and welfare of the community.
