Malikussaleh University (Unimal) held a socialization of the 2025 National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) at the Bireuen Education Office (Cabdin) Branch Hall, Thursday (01/23/2025).
This activity aims to provide the latest information to schools regarding the selection mechanism for entering state universities in 2025.
This event was attended by all school representatives, both SMA, SMK, and MA in the Bireuen area. The socialization team from the Language, Public Relations, and Publishing Unit of Unimal was led by Rizki Yunanda M.Si and Dedi Fariadi M.Pd, also accompanied by other technical teams, namely Bustami and Faizul Aulia.
The socialization material covers three main admission pathways, namely the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP), the National Selection Based on Tests (SNBT) which uses computer-based tests, and the Independent Selection which is held separately by each university.
Dedi Fariadi explained that there are no changes in the 2025 SNPMB, there are only changes to the ministry nomenclature, selection of study programs, and additional quotas.
"We hope that students clearly understand the registration flow and selection mechanisms that apply, so that there is no more confusion or technical errors," he said.
The SNPMB stages that are currently underway are SNPMB account registration registration, PDSS data filling by schools, and SNBP registration which will end on February 18.
"For the schedule, the deadline for creating an account for the SNBP pathway is February 18, 2025, while for the SNBT pathway it lasts until March 24, 2025," said Dedi.
Rizki Yunanda added that Unimal has 34 Study Programs, 20 Science and Technology, and 14 Social Sciences which are divided into seven faculties, namely Engineering, Economics and Business, Fisipol, Law, Agriculture, FKIP, and Medicine.
"Unimal is currently growing and also opening KIP-Kuliah, Aceh Carong, ADIK, Baznaz, Bank Indonesia, BSI, KJMU and other scholarships. Then last year Unimal obtained ISO 9001: 2015 (Quality Management System) and ISO 21001: 2018 (Educational Organization Management System) certification," he said.
Head of Bireuen Cabdin, Abdul Hamid M.Pd, welcomed this activity and expressed his appreciation to Unimal.
"We hope that the information provided can help students prepare themselves for college selection. The presence of the Unimal team is very useful for increasing our understanding as school representatives, especially the principals and operators who are present today," he said.
