It has been some days and today, I finally hit the 5,000 goal again. Why has it been some days?
I have been occupied in search of a reasonably priced Fitbit, aside from life itself. When I found out that Actifit is only compatible with Fitbit on Android, I searched for an affordable Fitbit, but none was to my liking except for the Charge 4, which is priced at around MYR 550.00.
Apparently, he kept a Fitbit Flex in storage for some years now as the setup was too much of a hassle. Sadly, the wristbands were kept for too long that the rubber stiffened and tore easily when stretched. Thankfully, the Fitbit tracker remained intact or rather in excellent condition.
I proceeded to charge the tracker as well as downloaded and installed the Fitbit app from the Google Play Store to my mobile phone. Thereafter, I paired the Fitbit tracker with my Fitbit app via Bluetooth and lastly, 👏🎉😬updating the firmware. 🎊
All I had to do was to wait for 5 to 10 minutes as displayed on my mobile screen and we are good to go! 💪
After 45 minutes………………….... still updating, hence, I restart my mobile phone, disconnect and reconnect the Bluetooth, etc. but still updating……
Finally, I sought for Google’s advice and followed all the steps to troubleshoot, till the point I unpaired the Fitbit tracker from the Fitbit app and from then on…...…I was NEVER EVER able to pair them back together again. 😭💔 Additionally, the indicator lights on the tracker kept blinking and running back and forth, continuously.
R.I.P
I informed my man and he contacted Fitbit support via Fitbit chat support, as he suspected that I was experiencing a software brick. We were utterly frustrated and not the least amused with the questions asked by the support service personnel or bot as well as their replies, that we totally gave up with the (non-)support service.
Apparently, this is not uncommon for Fitbit devices. The Fitbit community shared similar experiences i.e. one user experienced a software brick and was offered a discount of 25% from Fitbit to purchase a NEW one.Read More Feeling absolutely hopeless with my current situation, I decided not do to anything.
For the time being, I’ll just be doing this to reach my goals!👇😅😂

Accordingly, it tracks everything and much more, however, in Malaysia, Fitbit pay services are not available yet (and it seems like it will not be available indefinitely). Hence, rendered totally useless and then there is the Spotify support which is a plus point IF I was still on Spotify.
Amidst my consideration process, I was updating my old man about my current wellbeing, and he said, here’s a Fitbit 😱🤩🥰... What?! You got to be kidding me, but absolutely elated!🎉
