Today my kids asked me to make Veggie Sandwiches in lunch. So while actifitting as usual I started to fulfill their demand.
Here comes VEGGIE SANDWICH RECIPE.
First I took boiled potatoes, peeled them off and made cubes out of them.
Then I baked Zeera (Cumin Seeds) and Coriander seeds on pan.
When they turned brown they gave out very pleasant fragrance, then I crushed them well with help of pestle and mortar.
Then I chopped onion and then mashed them with potatoes.
Also cut the salad cabbage in thin slices.
Same process with carrots.
And also Green Chilies.
Then added boiled peas with all above mentioned items and also added salt, pepper, and a little bit turmeric powder. Then mixed them well.
Then filled this mixture in Sandwich Bread Slices.
Then I put these sandwiches in sandwich maker and used maker for 10-12 minutes.
Also made Chutney چٹنی(Sauce) of Mint and Coriander leaves.
I picked all soft leaves of mint and coriander and washed them thoroughly, cut them and them put them in grinder jug. Also added onions, tomatoes, garlic, green chilies, salt, pepper and cumin seeds. Turned on the grinder after adding all these.
This is the paste I got after grinding for 3-4 minutes. This paste is know as CHUTNEY. I will add this sauce to yogurt and this is called RAITA in URDU.
I served these sandwiches to my cute little soon to be hive bees kids with Mayo, Ketchup and this home made RaiTa and they really BUZZED like bees while eating this.
