My friends and I played twenty-one holes of disc golf out at a wooded course this morning. The scores were +8, +14, and +31. I had a little trouble with the new out-of-bounds line but played alright. I managed to birdie the island hole when we were warming up but took a bogey on it when we were playing for a score.
My friend almost lost his disc on this hole:
It went about three feet into the river but luckily his disc was not washed downstream. He managed to get a bogey while my other friend and I both got birdies.
Later this afternoon my son and I played out at my home course. I ended up at even and my son was +2. He usually wins but he was not playing with his discs and borrowed a bunch of my extra discs, plus he did not have his usual disc golf shoes.
I'm heading up to play another fun course with a friend tomorrow and everyone (including my son) is planning a difficult round on Wednesday. I should be taking things a bit easier but the weather is nice and it is so much fun to be out playing.
