It's been another ordinary day stepping it out. As always am grateful for this day, as I always say, there are many who wanted to see it but didn't, so we are definitely blessed💯. Thank you for stopping by and let's quickly take a look at how my day has been including trending news from around the globe. Come on 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging 👟 around the neighborhood 🌲. Today was much warmer than yesterday so I made the most of it in the fresh morning air🍃. Then I was back indoors for a bit of resting before embarking on the little house chores around the house. Up and down and in between I kept watching the news for trending stories. Then later in the afternoon a stop at the mall for groceries. After a bit of walking and window shopping, I was back indoors sleeping for the usual refreshing afternoon nap💤. The evening came in quite swiftly, I was up, cooking and watching a bit of youtube and the interesting world cup Morocco game, more on that later.
The sunset walk came as it was almost getting dark, as always slow paced enjoying the cool evening/night breeze. I finally made it back home safe and sound calling it a day.
So that was my day but lets finish with some of the trending stories.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹. Up in Tunisia, there was a low turn out for the elections, the opposition boycotted the elections. By close of the polls the turn out was nine percent🙀. The president unfairly changed the constitution earlier this year expanding his powers😹. He dealt democracy a blow with that move and most people just tired of politics.
Globally, Ukraine trending, after yesterday's barrage of missiles, authorities have been struggling to restore electricity and water supply. Today president Zelensky announced that power had been restored to up to 6 million people 👋.
Also trending from Iran, acclaimed actress Taraneh Alidoosti has been arrested for criticizing the state over execution of protesters 🙀.
Across the pond in the US, Elon Musk has reinstated some of the suspended journalists twitter accounts. They had been suspended for sharing Elon's real time location😹.
Meanwhile, in Peru the president urged congress to approve early polls amid growing unrest.
Finally let's finish off with some football shenanigans 😹. There were jubilant scenes in Zagreb as Croatia beat Morocco to finish third in the world cup 🎉🎊. Congratulations to them but still proud of what Morocco have achieved in the tournament 👋.
It all ends tomorrow with the final match, it's gonna be fireworks as France go one on one with Argentina 😹. May the best team win.
