When I was a kid, I usually hear about the story of Harry potter and his Halloween hat. The black birds, pumpkins, witches and people with spell that can harm were just there. I'll see a 6 years old boy celebrating Halloween and even playing it's scary game. They'll all be smiling to this showing it's harmless fun but is there more to it? Is Halloween celebrated in your country, if yes, what's the origin and what solid reasons do you have for celebrating? This post will spare you the details.

what do you think is the origin of a Halloween party?

The name Halloween is actually connected with pagan Celtic festival of samhain and according to World book encyclopaedia samhain means summer's end. The festival of Halloween indicates the start of the dark winter season celebrated around November 1st. It is very common in United States and Canada. The church in the 700s AD established this new holiday or celebration. This holiday is celebrated as all day for Saints.

All saints Day was otherwise known as all hallow. Hallow means one who is The Saint. The evening before the All hallows day was otherwise called All hallows Eve which was shortened to Hallow eve. That's how the name came to stay. The origin of Halloween is traced to the ancient pagan festival celebrated by people of Celtic 2000 years back according to the world encyclopedia. The Celtic people were also known as celts who believed that the dead could work among the living during this time. The dead could visit the living during samhain period.

  • the Celts wore ghoulish costumes so that spirits wandering around would not be able to attack them but rather think it's one of their kind. Candies we're made to appease these spirits asides triking them.

  • ghosts, vampires, witches and zombies with supernatural monsters associated with the evil spirit which closely connect with the dead. The pumpkins and lanterns were used to ward off evil spirits.
Do you have any beliefs associated with this “Halloween” celebration?

I don't on a personal note. Some people may view it as harmless fun and feel there's nothing absolutely wrong about it but this Halloween is based on false beliefs about demons the dead and spirits that are invisible. Halloween timeline from the 1st century to the 11th century, the Romans conquer the Celts and adopt this ritual and on the 7th century, **Pope Boniface IV is said to have established the annual celebration of all saints. In the 18th Century, the name of the holiday was official and in the 19th, Africa and other parts of the world knew about it and is popular up till this century.

Have you ever had a paranormal experience with this date?

To me I believe people who have no relation to this by either watching horror movies and reading books related to ghosts and witches will always have those pictures in their mind and would be subject to such experiences. I've never had such paranormal experience. It's good to know the origin of what we celebrate asides knowing it can be fun and that it's a trend. I can remember an experience of my cousin who woke up from sleep said she sawa witch in her dream and the dream was sucking her blood before leaving.

Hola amigo

I really appreciate this comment so much. Thanks for pointing out those flaws. I actually did all those things. Network made a whole mess of me

Saludos amigo.
