Cuando estan verdes se les puede dar a los terneros y vacas, es una fuente de vitamina y les mantiene su pelaje en buenas condiciones.
La parte que lleva dentro combinada con la sal sirve para curar la sarna, bien sea en perros o seres humanos, con aplicar esa mezcla a la piel y dejarla por varias horas durante varios dias es efectivo.
Un árbol puede cargar varios frutos y algunos pueden pesar mas de lo normal, que hasta las ramas no aguantan el peso y se caen.

Hola, felicitaciones hermosas fotografías de tu planta de tapara, nunca pude conseguir cultivar una de ellas y lo intente. Mi abuela las abría por la mitad y sacaba de cada una, dos totumas que usaba en la cocina como parte de sus utensilios. Algunas las destapaba por la parte superior y hacia lo que ella llamaba un coroto, le abría un agujero a cada lado y le colocaba una cabuya para colgarla y allí guardaba clavos, tornillos y pedazos de alambre etc. Saludos.
