Contest: What I didn't expect from 2024

The year 2024 was truly a blessed one for us but certain occurrences took place that almost took our mind off the good things that occurred that very year. The year 2024 started so good with us here, my family had enough blessings driving through to the extent of sharing to others mostly the needy .
At first in the begining of the year 2024, my mom started a cool business that was giving her income to cater for minor family problems while dad business went so smooth. We actually fed so good with food we want but there are events that can actually make you or keep you broken for long. Personally I had alot of my dreams accomplished, my plans for having a good system and phone came in a good way so I concluded that 2024 will be one of the greatest year for me and my family.

Certain occurrences that took place in the year 2024 making it a bad one for us

Just like in business there's profit or loss, in life we should expect that bad days won't last long and good days might not be forever too. Some events that made my 2024 awful include:

The death of my grandmother and uncle

The death of my two important persons happened in 2024. It was really a sad one for me because my grandmother died due to severe illness and during the plan for the burial my uncle died too. We were all broken and weak at first because he was one of the most active persons planning for the burial and die to some minor illness we lost him too. My dad was in tears for weeks without being active in his job, it was truly an event that destroyed our joyous year.

My dad getting scammed by online fraudsters

During the middle of the year, my dad was heavily scammed by online fraudsters thr funniest thing is that we knew about this very format but my dad wasn't just hearing us out. It all happened when an unknown number called him saying he's an old time friend working with Julius Berger., my dad had several friends there so he thought it was actually one of his friends.
Introduced a certain investment to him to get foreign magnet rings then gaining times 4 profit. my dad was actually lost with the profits so he looked for money to send to the account they provided. We cautioned our dad about it but he insisted and transferred the 100 thousand naira luckily for him 50 thousand went and 50 thousand was back to his account due to network issues. Before my dad could realise himself 50 thousand was out from his account. That alone made his depressed abit but was actually strong enough to beat it off.

My senior brother not moving to NYSC camp due to financial issues

My senior brother couldn't move to the NYSC camp due to financial issues, he didn't make his final clearance and registration early so he was kept till this turn to go for the NYSC. Destiny delayed is not destiny denied so there's still hope of him making much progress in life.

Aside the above mentioned issues that occurred my 2024 was so blessed. God really showed us mercy
