Hello great steemians in this very community, it's a great privilege to participate in this very contest which about single life. Thanks to the community for sharing such topic.

Every married person started as a single person, marriage didn't just come from birth. There was a time he or she didn't have anything to do in common with another. In our recent days, I get confused about this very statement. If you're to apply for any official work or position there's always a space seeking for your marital status if you're single or married, so what happens to those who are in a close relationship with another but not yet married.

My experience being single, I have been single for about 21years without thinking or having interest of dating another. It's not that I didn't have thought of that or my religion doesn't permits that, I felt so incomplete to start such. Growing as a teen there's always a point or stage in life that you will really have desire for opposite gender or wants to be around your loved one. Such feelings came but I turned out to just have friends instead of anything intimate.

To me staying single is the best stage in your life, that's the stage where you will learn how to cope with different species, handle your negative traits, know more about relationship and also build yourself for the future. My friends didn't believe I stayed up that long without dating but I made it known to them that I didn't have anything to offer. I was so blank about relationship so I didn't want to go and spoil my mind about it or spoils another about love and relationship.
To me, your first relationship really matters alot matter what. People tends to come back to their first lovers because of power of first love, so if your mind is spoilt about relationship and love during your first date you will always believe that others are like that. I was so okay being single because I learnt alot from my friends, used that period too to advice people who are in any sort of relationship.

There are certain advantages and disadvantages of being single
During my single stay, questions people do ask me is how do you sort out horny days. To me it's up for you to control, the mind is the main engine that controls everything that happens in our life so changing your thoughts and being busy can help fight such. Some of the disadvantages people face are: not being able to relate with your partner, so many people are too used to being alone while pressing their phones. That can affect a future relationship.

Lack of having foresight about relationship and yourself: so many people don't understand what relationship is all about because they didn't learn it at a tender age, that alone can barrier a good relationship.

There are certain advantages derived from staying single which are:
A clear foresight about relationship: most people uses that single period to learn, build and know more about relationship.
Being ready for relationship issues and problems.

To me I prefer a young man should accrue time for himself just to grow more not rushing into any kind of intimate relationship. Marriage or any kind of intimate relationship is not just a mere situation, you have to be ready that you will cope and understand another person's trait.

Marriage or any sort of relationship is not for the poor and weak. Thanks for going through my post

Greetings friends…

Single and partnered life is a personal choice for each person, no one can force them to choose one of them. Of course, there are good and bad sides to both choices that make us have to be observant about what choices we will take by thinking about the consequences that will occur.

All choices are up to each of us, hopefully the choices we make will bring blessings to our lives.
