Se trata de aquellos días donde fui muy feliz rodeado de amistades, aprendizajes y esos seres increibles que son los animales.

Un día normal en la Facultad de Veterinaria. | A normal day at the Veterinary School.

En el 2016 comencé a estudiar Medicina Veterinaria en la Facultad de Ciencias Veterinarias de la UCV en Maracay Estado Aragua. Lamentablemente por la situación social y económica de mi país no pude seguir cursando mis estudios.

In 2016 I started studying Veterinary Medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences of the UCV in Maracay Aragua State. Unfortunately due to the social and economic situation of my country I could not continue my studies.

En ese mágico recinto académico pasé poco más de 2 años estudiando y conviviendo con personas increíbles pero lo que más disfrutaba de aquel lugar era la cercanía que podía tener con los animales, que después de todo eran la razón la que estaba ahí, mi amor hacia los animales me llevó a estudiar esa carrera.

In that magical academic campus I spent a little more than 2 years studying and living with incredible people but what I enjoyed most about that place was the closeness I could have with the animals, which after all were the reason I was there, my love for animals led me to study that career.

Ese amor aún sigue vivo en lo más interno de mi, reposando tranquilo aguardando el día en que pueda salir para llenar de cariño y bondad a esos seres vivos tan maravillosos que son los animales.

That love is still alive in the innermost part of me, resting quietly waiting for the day when I can go out to fill with love and kindness to those wonderful living beings that are animals.

El día del que les voy a sucedió hace aproximadamente 3 años; era un día normal de clases en la Facultad, en la mañana asistimos a las primeras clases luego llegó la hora de almorzar.

The day I am going to tell you about 3 years ago; it was a normal day of classes in the Faculty, in the morning we attended the first classes and then it was time for lunch.

Más tarde mis amigos y yo nos preparábamos para las clases de la tarde cuando nos informaron que por una razón que no recuerdo quedaban suspendidas las clases de esa tarde.

Later my friends and I were getting ready for the afternoon classes when we were informed that for a reason I don't remember the afternoon classes were suspended.

Aprovechamos el rato libre para hacer lo que más disfrutábamos estando en la Universidad, explorar todos los rincones de esta y beneficiarnos de las bondades de aquel recinto, que eran muchas. Siempre acostumbrábamos a hacer aquel tipo de cosas y casi siempre terminábamos topándonos con la vida animal de la Facultad, lo que no es extraño debido a la carrera que cursábamos.

We took advantage of the free time to do what we most enjoyed being at the University, explore every corner of it and benefit from the benefits of that campus, which were many. We always used to do that kind of things and almost always ended up running into the animal life of the Faculty, which is not strange because of the career we were studying.

Fuimos al recinto de las vacas, las saludamos como a viejas amigas e interactuamos con los becerros (terneros) y con las madres que eran muy dóciles y receptivas. De esa interacción salieron las primeras fotos, estos animales estaban tan acostumbrados a nuestra presencia que parecían disfrutarla.

We went to the cow enclosure, greeted the cows like old friends and interacted with the calves and calf and with the mothers, who were very docile and receptive. Out of that interaction came the first photos, these animals were so used to our presence that they seemed to enjoy it.

Intenté tomarme unas fotografías para el recuerdo con esta vaca que estaba en mitad de convertirse en adulta, por la facilidad con que tomé las fotografías parecía que la vaca disfrutaba de ser parte de la sesión fotográfica, la verdad no me costó nada sacar las fotos y en cuanto las vi adoré el resultado.

I tried to take some pictures for the memory with this cow that was in the middle of becoming an adult, by the ease with which I took the pictures it seemed that the cow enjoyed being part of the photo shoot, the truth is that I did not cost me anything to take the pictures and as soon as I saw them I loved the result.

Luego de alimentar a las vacas con ramas del árbol de Samán nos despedimos y seguimos recorriendo la Facultad; así llegamos a la estación experimental de las cabras. En esa estación estudian el comportamiento de estos animales y las reproducen para obtener leche de cabra y sus subproductos.

After feeding the cows with branches from the Saman tree we said goodbye and continued touring the Faculty; thus we arrived at the experimental station of the goats. In this station they study the behavior of these animals and reproduce them to obtain goat milk and its by-products.

Las cabras son muy distintas de las vacas, son animales extrovertidos y con marcadas personalidades por lo que manipularlas e interactuar con ellas es un poco más difícil, pero dada la experiencia ya estábamos acostumbrados a eso.

Goats are very different from cows, they are extroverted animals with marked personalities so handling and interacting with them is a little more difficult, but given the experience we were already used to that.

Las perseguimos un rato hasta cansarnos, al parecer a estas cabras les gustaba ser perseguidas pues parecía que lo disfrutaban. Después las alimentamos y ahí aprovechamos para sacarnos fotos, con ellas si fue más difícil.

We chased them for a while until we got tired, apparently these goats liked to be chased because they seemed to enjoy it. Then we fed them and took the opportunity to take pictures, with them it was more difficult.

Como ven aparezco con los ojos cerrados en la fotografía, esto es muestra de que con las cabras es casi imposible sacar una fotografía armónica xD

As you can see I appear with my eyes closed in the picture, this shows that with goats it is almost impossible to take a harmonic picture xD

Finalmente limpiamos el desastre, nos despedimos y salimos del lugar. Luego de una tarde maravillosa de improvisados pero encantadores eventos nos fuimos a nuestras residencias hasta el día siguiente, esperando que este fuera igual de maravilloso que el anterior.

Finally we cleaned up the mess, said our goodbyes and left the site. After a wonderful afternoon of impromptu but delightful events we went to our residences until the next day, hoping that this one would be just as wonderful as the last.

Así transcurrieron la gran mayoría de mis días en aquella Facultad que tanto adoro.

This is how the great majority of my days in that Faculty that I adore so much went by.
