There is so little to tell about my #life, particularly on this Tuesday, so I think it's better that I go directly to comment on the ephemeris of today's #History. After all, I didn't leave the house today either, we continue to take things easy at home. Hay tan poco que contar de mi #vida, en particular en este martes, así que creo que es mejor que entre a comentar directamente la efemérides de la #Historia del día de hoy. A fin de cuentas, no salí de casa tampoco hoy, seguimos llevando las cosas en casa con calma. Además de cocinar, trabajar en la computadora y revisar algunas tareas menores, no tengo mucho más que compartir sobre mi día personal.

It is a date established by the World Health Organization, the #UN, in 1997, to make visible the problem of this disease, but also to publicize the advances in its study, its treatments and future perspectives. This degenerative disease ranks second in terms of degenerative diseases that we usually associate with old age, but it is not a #disease that is exclusive to old age, in fact, there are juvenile cases of Parkinson's disease, although they are not what we consider the most frequent.
The causes of the disease are still under study, there are indications of conditions that predispose or increase the risk of suffering from this disease, but we are still not completely clear about all its causes. Esta enfermedad degenerativa ocupa el segundo lugar en cuanto a enfermedades degenerativas que solemos asociar con la edad avanzada, pero no es una enfermedad que sea exclusiva de la vejez, de hecho, hay casos juveniles de la enfermedad de Parkinson, aunque no son lo que consideramos lo más frecuente.

Esta enfermedad me llama la atención por dos motivos, en particular, por una parte, tengo un caso familiar, ya difunto, de un tío paterno que sufrió de esta enfermedad y estuvo durante años en tratamiento. Al final, no fue el Parkinson lo que le llevó a la muerte, pero sí que le complicó la vida y afectó negativamente la calidad de vida de sus últimos años de vida.

Así entonces, tengo tanto una referencia personal como un referente internacional que me lleva a pensar en esta enfermedad, de la que, según entiendo, también tengo un cierto nivel de riesgo de padecerla por el antecedente familiar. Pero no es algo que me preocupe en particular, después de todo 1 de cada 100 personas de más de 60 años llega a padecerla, así que no es algo tan raro tener cierto nivel de riesgo, además de que aún no estoy en esa edad (risa personal).

Saludos amigo @pedrobrito2004, en mi entorno laboral hay un compañero que sufre de parkinson si notablemente la enfermedad viene avanzando sin remedio a pesar de estar medicado. También recuero que MJF el actor de volver al futuro fue diagnosticado a una edad relativamente temprana, Dios permita que las invetigaciones avancen lo suficiante para una cura o tratamiento definitivo.

Esa enfermedad no se detiene, se le puede bajar la velocidad de su avance, pero no he visto que se detenga una vez que comienza a manifestar los síntomas más visibles.
De verdad me gustaría que se tenga en un futuro cercano un tratamiento efectivo y accesible para esta enfermedad.
