Identifying link building opportunities is the first step in any SEO audit (see above). There's no SEO audit without a solid understanding of your company's site and how it's performing in organic search. So, before you start looking for opportunities to improve, you need first to identify the areas that would need to be improved.
You're going to want to start with the essential elements of your site including the following:
1- Pages
2- Links
3- Links to your site from other sites
First, identify the pages on your site that are best suited for building links. These are likely the pages with more authority (content, authority, etc.) and are likely to rank well in organic search. In addition, if you're in a competitive space, your site will likely have a lot of pages that are poorly suited for link building.
