I hope everyone has a happy new year. I am happy to be back in the third week of baking class. As a beginner, today's class is even more important to me. Today I learned how to make stuffed sweet breads in the baking course conducted by my class teachers, @yenny47 and @katherine012. And I am ready to submit my homework.

Yes, resting the bread is very important. Resting the dough is essential for a perfect loaf of bread and making it delicious. Resting the bread gives the gluten strands developed by kneading and folding the dough a chance to relax. This helps the dough to stretch or roll. And it makes it easier to work with, without it returning to its shape. Giving the dough enough time to rest increases the yeast in the dough. It makes it light and airy. The longer the dough sits, the tastier the bread. Because as the yeast eats the flour, it breaks it down into simple compounds that give us more flavor. So a longer and slower time will develop more flavor in the bread.

In today's class, I learned about several types of bread. Here I saw the process of making bread from different countries. Today I chose to make sweets with jam. I will share my bread-making process in several steps. Check it out .

🧾In the first step, the ingredients for making dough and their quantity.

1. 125 ml warm water, 2. 1 tsp sugar, 3. 1 tsp active dry yeast, 4. 50 g all-purpose flour.


  • First, take water in a bowl. Then add the sugar and yeast one by one, stir for a while and add the flour.

  • Now mix all the ingredients well. Take your time and mix slowly. And let it rest for 20 minutes .

🧾Now, the second step of making dough with ingredients and quantity.

1. 220-230 grams flour, 2. Half tablespoon salt, 3. 50 grams sugar, 4. One tablespoon vanilla essence, 5. 20 g melted butter, 6. One egg, 7. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil.


  • The rested dough has risen and is nicely set. Now add salt, sugar, vanilla essence, butter, and one egg and mix well with half the egg.

  • Once all the ingredients are mixed, add flour in batches. If you add all the flour, it will not make a good dough. To make the dough perfect, you have to knead it well with your hands. Mix the flour as needed.

Once the dough is ready, place the dough in a bowl and let rest. Brush some oil on dough. Cover the bowl and let rest in a warm place for 20 minutes.

🧾At this stage, the final step of making bread with ingredients and quantity.

  • Now I spread the dough by hand and divided it into four parts.

  • Now I rolled out one loaf and spread jam on half of the loaf. And I folded it with a ruler.

  • Now I cut the rest of the bread into long pieces with a cutter or knife. And I folded it. Each bread has to be made in the same way.

  • After making the bread, it has to rest for 20 minutes again to rise. I covered the bread with a cloth to give it a warm temperature.

  • Now the bread is perfect for baking. I brushed the beaten egg on the top of the bread. Now I put it in the oven at 150° Fahrenheit for 40 minutes to bake the bread.

When I cut it in the middle, you can see how perfect it was. It was fun to eat and incredibly beautiful to look at.

The experience of making sweet bread was very good. I make it almost every day, so I really like making it. The only complication was the time. Now that it is winter, the weather is cold, so it takes a long time for the dough to rise. Warm weather makes the dough rise quickly. Of course, I covered the bowl of dough with a thick cloth. It was a bit of a hassle, but it was a different experience. Anyway, it was also a wonderful experience.

My son is the main helper while preparing any food for my family. And he is always ready to take food tests. Along with the reviews according to the food tests. This is very good for me. Since it was a sweet bread with jam. And his favorite strawberry flavor jam. My son liked this bread very much. He was eating it while taking pictures. It was fun for him to see the children eating it to their satisfaction. He expressed his desire to make it again.

Although there is no big bakery near my house, there is a fast food shop where we can get bread according to our choice. Since this shop is very close to our house, I sometimes try its food. My favorite bread here is sweet Danish. It is also very nice to look at and fun to eat. Its price is 45 Bangladeshi taka. Both the quality and fun of the bread were pleasant to me.

Also, the decoration of the bread was more attractive. I think that if the food decoration is good, you will feel satisfied while eating the food.
