Hello steemit, this is my first time posting here! Since I don't know what else to talk about, I figured I'll make a quick post about a genre I recently got into, Black Metal!
The story of black metal goes like this: some 18 year olds from Norway woke up one day and thought to themselves "I wanna have a competition with other 18 year olds in which we try to out-evil each other!" and just like that, black metal was born!

Ok now, on to the music! First I'll go over some of the more popular picks, then I'll move on to things I found by myself along the way!
Mayhem - De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas
Without a doubt, the most famous black metal album! If you want a starting point on the genre, listen to this one!
Burzum - Filosofem
Another famous black metal album! Varg Vikernes (the front man of the band) is infamous for his music, but he's also infamous because of how... well... crazy he is! Not only did he murder the guitarist of Mayhem (the previous band I mentioned) but he also started a youtube channel, and got banned for sharing his controversial political opinions! The dude's an oddball but I honestly find him hilarious (except for the murdering part, that wasn't cool).
DARKTHRONE - Transylvanian Hunger
Another pretty infamous album... don't have much to say about it, but I like it!
