Application to become Steem POD

I'm so delighted with the invitation to STEEM POD by @steemitblog. After a month curation journey, starting another endeavour on steem is a pleasure. The aim and objectives of the STEEM POD are not far distinct from what I aspire, so to me, it's a win-win.

My steemit experience

I've had experiences. I was ignored. I struggled to get noticed and eventually made it to the open. It was a great journey with countless breaks. When I got tired of posting on steemit, a project called Musing.io came on board and I diverted. I became a little relevant until I stopped posting and moved to sportstalk.io when the tribe was introduced by Aggroed. I moved around until #the100daysofsteem started, and that's when I started having the full dividend of a true steemian since I joined the blockchain in 2018.

What language do I speak/ country and time zone

Nigeria was colonized by the British (Lord Lugard, and his cohorts back in the early 19th century till we gained independence in 1960.) So our official language is English. I speak and write in English. If I want to grade my proficiency and eloquence, I think I should merit 70%. That's a pass mark if you ask me. I'm a Linguist, so I flow with words easily. It's never my problem. Nigeria is situated in the Western part of Africa with a time zone of GMT +1. The standard time zone entails adding one hour to Coordinated Universal Time.

Community I'm actively involved

Steemit is my blogging platform, but Steem Africa is my community. I'm super active on Steem Africa. I've been posting via Steem Africa since it's inception and I'm proud to be the Admin/member of the community.

Why I would make a good steem greeter

I've been greeting newbies that I found posting on Steem Africa with a reputation of 25 for more than 3 weeks. Guiding and encouraging them to keep the spirit of blogging alive has been my focal point. As I always say, "Onboarding is one thing, keeping them is another". This mindset gave me the spirit of helping every newbie I come across on the platform. I'm already doing it, but dedicating my time to it will make me do it better.

Conclusion

Engaging in anything that can help the steem blockchain and Steem Africa to keep growing has become a part of me. When a mangrove tree lies in the ocean for a long time, it will look like a crocodile with time. Soon, the steem blockchain will start showing on my forehead. Lol
