Dear diary
I woke up not feeling too well, it was around 5:30 am in the morning, and it was so cold
It has been raining for days now and the weather has taught me to always wake up with a cup of coffee or a cup of hot tea
It is that time of the year when it rains for weeks without completely stopping; most times it rains every day for seven days straight
I had no choice but to leave the house with an umbrella and my sweat shirt to beat the cold
This is day two of my Election training exercise, we were taught about the handling of Election materials, what it entails to carry out a free and fair election
Over the years election in Nigeria has both been violent and unfair, we always had security lapses and loss of lives to both the citizens and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)
This time the government has promised enough security for the election
We were handed a manual to serve as a guideline for the election, a situation where they are complications during the election, we can refer to the manual for clarifications
Most of the times though it can be said that real life situations are totally different from the books

The first half of the training lasted for 4 hours and afterwards we went for a lunch break, it was 1:30 pm by my watch and the break is supposed to last for an hour
2:30 pm and we were back in class, due to the corona virus pandemic some extra exercise were added to the previous training just to be in line with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control

we ended class for the day by 6:00 pm
At this time I was exhausted, tired and cold.
On my way home I bought dinner, it was beans and plantain with vegetables
When I got home I just laid back and reflected on my day before I slept off
