Fridays is a very special day for me. Not just because it's the start of the weekend, but also because it's normally Jummah Friday. But we are not in normal times. The novel corona virus has reshaped our lives and we don't do things like we would normally do. This has also taken a heavy toll on my Jummah salat. Due to the new safety strategies being put in place I'm very optimistic that by next week or two we would be able to attend Jummah without any worries whatsoever.
I woke up around my usual time today, performed my fajr salat and started my day. I then did some push ups with my 'home workout' app on my mobile phone. It was just one of the days I just wasn't in the jogging mood. I then went to the bathroom, took my shower and went for breakfast.
Milo with bread and egg
I had some milo with bread and eggs today. It's also one of the very popular breakfasts you would find here in Ghana. I take this sometimes but without sugar as it turns to make it too sweet for me. And too much sugar is definitely not good for the body. I then came onto the blockchain and read content from fellow diarists.
My favorite Islamic Channel
After this, I got myself some tv time from some of my favorite islamic channels. It was really motivational.
Time was drawing closer and closer. So I went ahead to perform ablution. This brought me to the state of mind necessary for my jummah prayers. I then took my prayer mat, sat on it and said a few prayer. Normally there is supposed to be a sermon before the salat but since I'm alone I have to go straight to the salat itself and pray.
Yam with koobi(salted fish) and grinded pepper
In the afternoon, I made some yam with pepper and salted fish. It's not that difficult to make since you only need to boil the yam with salt and grind the pepper. I chose to do this because no one was at home and I needed to fend for myself, plus I was very hungry.

In the evening, I watched Barcelona vs Bayern Munchen match and I must say it really made my day. Barcelona took a beating of a life time. I was so glad because their complacency got their better part and instead of training nonstop to stand a chance, they thought it would be a cakewalk. It was 8-2 at the end of the match and it was score for the history books indeed.

I love it when prayer is never taken for granted. Jumat is compulsory for all muslims. Good habit bro.
I also love soccer. The match between Barcelona and Bayern munich was superb. I can't just imagine the humiliation. After the match, Gerard Pique said it's better they buy young boys. Is that why they went for Pjanic?😂. It's slowly becoming a club for retired footballers. This always happens to them when Arturo Vidal opens his big mouth. Bayern's team is really solid. Alcantara alone is not a joke.
Messi also said he needs to see drastic changes at Barca else he's leaving the club. About time!
