Hello Amazing Steemians, it's been a while. This Sunday( Sacredday) in our church was tagged Cultural Sacredday. Everyone of us was expected to appear in their traditional regalia or any traditional regalia from anyone of the 10 regions of Cameroon. So on this blessed day I woke up at about 3a.m, started playing music and at some point I started praying. Lost track of time till it was about 6:15am. Being an usher in church I had to start preparing for service. By 8:17am I left the house. Got to church at a couple of minutes to 9. The church had been decorated beautifully with peace plants, atogho material and the bamileke material.
Service began at 9a.m with hot traditional praise. Everyone was so beautifully dressed and excited. We danced so hard our feet hurt. When our esteemed Man of God, Apostle Nyenti Eta Boris finally arrived church, the service took a new turn with powerful traditional ministrations from the choir representing both the North and the southwest. We joined them on stage as no one could resist the powerful ministrations.
Then came the word. Our Father in the Lord began to teach us on how our different cultures are from our places of origin and represent our identity. He went further to say that as believers, our new culture is CHRIST and being in Christ means endless possibilities and invisibility. He said our physical cultures make us weak and emotional but our spiritual culture which is in Christ makes us invisible. The sermon was super powerful. He crowned it with by saying our culture is Christ with a touch of each of our tribes.
After the exhortation, we had fashion Parade by the youth representing all ten regions. Then the holy communion, second offerings, closing and prayerline. By the time we closed it was already about 3pm. I was home at a few minutes to 4. Rested for a bit and went out to buy gas and food. When I got home I ate and fell asleep. Only woke up again at 1a.m the next day.
