Hello my steem Cameroon family. I'm excited to be blogging on this amazing platform and at the same time participating in a contest about my best day of the week.
It was on the 12th of February, a friend sent me a flyer captioned “Tech Love” and she invited me to attend the seminar and she promised that it will unravel so many goodies that I can't afford to miss.
As a tech enthusiast, I was already hooked and I decided to attend the event and see all it had to offer. The event was held the very next day being the 13th of February and that was the best day of my week!
The venue was a 20 minutes journey from my house, and I got there early, there was soft music and everywhere was serene. Later, the music stopped and we moved into the business of the day. We were asked to move to the soundproof room where there were laptops and other equipment for practical lessons.
We had lots of speakers talking about the love for tech, how to start web3, crypto and how to be a web developer, front and back end developer. It was a really big eye opener. I learnt a lot of insightful details including the power of networking. I listened with rapt attention while the speakers took the stage.
Of course, learning a digital skill or getting a job is not a get rich quick scheme, one must put in the work and dedicate time, energy and resources diligently and wisely so as to see results. I also learned the art of being patient with myself, taking it one day at a time, avoiding the negative trap comparison and being interested in learning the trends and keeping up with them rather than just being interested in the “cashing out” aspect.
I came to realise that many people would have succeeded in the digital space and even the world at large if not for the negative tendency to compare oneself to another person and that should be avoided.
We then had game shows, lots of food and drinks wrapped in yellow bags as takeaway and took pictures with fellow tech enthusiasts and friends. It was a fun-filled day.
I was invited to take some pictures at the studio and we took it according to our height and it came out beautifully 😅
I then proceeded to take down pictures outside by the beautiful background and it was giving all it should give. This was my best.
Finally, after the whole show, the music started again and it was louder. I really do not like loud music and I was tired yet happy so, I decided to go home and have some rest.
It was indeed a value packed day and the best day of my week!
