Hello and hi to all the great minds and individuals as well as all steemians on this our Camerooinan community, @steem-cameroon. It is of great pleasure to share with you how my day unfolded. I woke up very late as usual because I always go to bed too late. The reason for me going to bed late on the 04/10/2021 was the too much excitement as Nigerian public figure @whitemoney won the “Big Brother Naija's" reality show. So after posting about his victory on all my social media platforms, I had to go to bed that night late because of too much updates that I had to cut them across all my handles.
So I woke up today, after cleaning up my surrounding and myself, I went back to blogging which I actually did whole day. At about 4:00pm, my internet got crashed. I rebooted my phone, but to not avail. I even switched my SIM cards from Sim 1 to sim 2 and vice versa but to not avail. I just knew that something might have been wrong somewhere because my neighbors complaint of the same problem.
At about 7:30pm, information started circulating on Twitter app by WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram accounts that there's a little problem on their apps that they'll resolve it as fast as possible. I now thought like an #Influencer that, what can I do, which will drive more traffic to my handles and also create entertainment to the hungry/angry internet users.
So I decided to create a telegram channel and named it "Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp has been down till the unknown date. But we need to know why, have entertainment and connect with more people". So I copied the telegram channel link and pasted it on my Twitter wall. In less than an hour, I got over 200+ subscribers with a minimum of 70 views on each post I put up.
Though I couldn't explore more platforms due to the crash, it also served as a greater opportunity to me.
Breaking today the 05/10/2021, I checked at the Twitter handle of Influencers and I saw this post from the Camerooinan spokes person @issa_tchiroma, and he had this to tweet.👇🏿👇🏿
