Greetings to everyone in the house, i hope you are all doing great, i am glad to be present here today, participting in another best day contest and I'd like to make a quick shoutout to #steemcameroon for making this possible. My best day is 1st March and so allow me to tell you why this is my best day in the given days.
The 1st of March became the day in the range of days set forth because of the cooking i was going to do. I like cooking though not alot to make it seem weird. This day we were tasked with making plantain and beans. Now over some time I've been learning how to make the perfect beans and i had gotten mastery of that learning and today was the day to prove myself. And with so doing i will be teaching you how to make this beans in my way and what the secret ingredient to my perfect recipes is.
In my perfectly made beans, my secret ingredient is tomatoes though it is a normal ingredient in this meal, i call it the secret ingredient based on the quantity that i put in. I came to realise that, what makes a beans meal very delicious is the amount of tomatoes put in it and that should be alot of it so i make sure i purchase a lot of tomatoes and in this case i had tomatoes worth 10 steem bought just for this.
The next ingredients for this meal includes;
- Red beans
- Green spices
- Ginger
- Onions
- Groundnut Oil
- Maggi and salt seasoning
- Smoked fish
- Half ripe plantains
These are the ingredients we will be using for this meal. The first thing to do is to thoroughly wash all the wet ingredients and blend them together like in the picture. From the picture above you can see that the dorminant color is the red color which indicates the high amount of tomatoes used in this recipe.
The next process is to boil the beans (after carefully selecting it to remove all stones and dirt) on a very high.and constant heat source and in this case was a three stone fire side. This provides and infinite amount of heat energy compared to boiling on the gas. Boiling on a 3 stone fire side takes about 45 minutes to get the beans cooked. While the beans is boiling on the fireside, you can be making the half riped plantains.
When the beans is cooked, you proceed to frying it in the wet ingredients you blended. This is where you add your seasoning and the smoked fish. I used maggi njanga so there wasn't much need to use njanga anymore. After a few minutes of cooking the meal was all ready and it is served for eating
You can now enjoy my recipe and i hope you follow the steps well and even make your own improvements as time goes on. This is what we had on the 1st of March in our house and reviews were quite outstanding. Many people lined up to compliment the chef (me) for his work. The best thing of this day were the compliments that followed the cooking i made.
