Hello everyone, I am happy meeting you all again. I come today to take part in the ongoing contest "Marriage for Life or Contract Marriage?" here in the Steem Cameroon community. I hope I win this contest as I participate accordingly.
Marriage is a beautiful thing, but everyone is not a fan of marriage. So today I would talk on the type of marriage I like. Either marriage for life or contract marriage. Am not married but if time comes I think I would go for a contract marriage.
Marriage for life is practiced here in my country Nigeria, by the religious people which are either Christian and Muslims, while contract marriage is a type Of marriage they also practice here in Nigeria and mostly in the courtroom as this type of marriage don't last.
Without wasting time, I answer the guiding questions given for this contest as follows below.
What is your understanding of the statement “for better and for worse till death do us part”?
What I understand by this word "for better and for worse till death do us part" most times people marry for money and not for love so at a time when there is no money they run and dump the marriage as this is not for better for worst as proscribed by the Christian religion or even the Muslim religion.
It means even when things are scattering, you stay together, as this is my own understanding of this statement.
Which do you prefer, marriage for life or a contract marriage.
Staying with a woman till death is not an easy task, as I have seen a lot of marriages that looks scary. I would prefer a contract marriage, as this type of marriage has reasons for going into it in the contract way. Freedom is to be given to all, and I needed freedom.
Do you agree that house chores should not be a role attached to a particular gender?
House chores should not be a role attached to an individual, as the both couple uses the house together. I suggest anyone who have the strength to do the house chores should do it, but if it is stressful, you can get someone who you both pay to do the chores.
Consider yourself a specialist in the field, and share some tips with youths about marriage.?
Please youth; marriage is not a pot of honey you rush into, before you get into marriage have genuine reasons, don't just run into marriage because you see every other person going into it.
Above all if you think marriage for life is best for you do it and if you think also contract marriage is good for you go do it as when you marry no one will stay with you. You are the only one who can decide what is best for yourself, thanks.
