Accept Warm greetings from this end Fellow steemians and its a pleasure to be part of this creative writing contest organised by @thegreens. On the theme what is your best and worst subject and what makes it your best or Worst Subject. This is my first contest so far and I must confess it will be an adventure to go through this writeup.
As the case might be with others, I don't have any particular Subject to call my worst or my best subject. It all depends on the level in which I am in. What I mean is in primary, secondary, High school, undergraduate and postgraduate levels, I had my favourite and at the same time I had my worst subjects. This is elaborated as seen below.
Primary school.
at my pre-education or my primary level of education, my best subject was;
General knowledge.
General knowledge is a subject which covers a series of subjects like Geography, History, Environmental Science etc. It was my best subject because of the fact that my cousin who was in secondary school used to teach me this subject at home. it became fun when a teacher came to class and all what he was teaching, i had it at my fingertips. It is in this subject that I learned that it was Mungo Park who discovered the river Niger. I became famous in this subject. Almost all the questions that were asked I could answer and that is how I loved the Subject. On the other hand, My worst subject in Primary school was;
Arithmetic.
I hated Calculation at a very tender age. It's not like I could not do the Solving but then my Arithmetic teacher made me hate the Subject. He made use of his cane which he called Dr. Do good which he thought was the best way to make children learn but that was not the case with me. When you intimidate me while teaching me, I become afraid and there's nothing I can do when I am afraid.
Secondary school.
Unlike in Primary school, in secondary school, My best Subject was;
Economics.
source
Economics is a social science which deals with the production, distribution and consumption of goods and services. It was my best Subject because I saw how I was living and experiencing it every day. Also, my Economics teacher made the subject lively and that is how almost everyone loves him and the Subject. Most importantly he motivated us to learn by at times sharing gifts and Money to top students which I was always a beneficiary. On the other hand, My worst subject was;
Mathematics.
Past experiences in primary School made me hate maths with passion. i did not want to hear of anything Maths. The situation aggravated When my friends influenced me the more i never attended a Mathematics class when i was in form 5 and thats the reason why i had an E grade at the ordinary level mathematics.
High School.
My best Subject in the high school was;
Economics.
I already loved economics in secondary school high school was just a continuation of the love i had for the subject. Also, the economics teacher loved me as a person and encouraged me to study hard. But i didn't make the grade i wanted because i was encouraged to do a lot of calculations which in my year there was little or no calculation in the A levels exam. On the other hand my worst subject was;
Philosophy
When i first enrolled into the philosophy class, i loved the Subject so much but in Two weeks of study, our philosophy teacher was Transferred and that was the beginning of doom for me since i had never studied or had an idea about it somewhere. I finally hated it when i came across Symbolic logic with no one to explain it to me. i had to give up.
Undergraduate (Bsc)
My Best Subject was;
International Security.
I started my undergraduate studies in 2016 when the anglophone crisis started and in mid 2017, international security was introduced in class and i became interested in the course because i wanted to understand The reasons for Wars and how such wars can be averted. it is in international security that i learned that When Diplomacy and all other pacific means fail, War is inevitatable. My worst Subject on the other hand was;
Functional French.
its not like i hate the language but truth be told, i dont know it and have passion to learn it which i am now. But it was my worst Subject in the undergraduate level because its the only course i had a resit in.
Post Graduate.
My best Subject is;
International Humanitarian law.
International Humanitarian law is a law governing all international armed conflicts. i love it with passion because i still have a quest to really find out how international law protect persons in conflict hit regions of the world. i came to understand that the Anglophone crisis is an internal crisis and international humanitarian law does not apply. Also i love humanity and want to do something to help humanity that is why courses related to humanitarianism, i love them. My worst Subject is;
Comparative regional integration.
this course studies regional blocks like The CEMAC, ECOWAS, NAFTA, etc. the reason i hated this course was because of the lecturer allocated to teach the course, i didn't like him in person and hence hate for his course.
one will observe that the above write up is unnecessarily broad and does not follow the theme of this contest but its all for understanding purposes and to hastily generalise, My best Subject is international humanitarian law and my worst subject is Mathematics and reasons advanced to support this fact can be seen above
Wow that is awesome

Hahaha, for me, General knowledge was a name, because i tried as much as possible to know at least a little of everything(especially the subject topics).
But French was the strong man that knocked me over and over again.
I love anything humanitarian 👏🏻👏🏻

Great write up.
You are right when you say favorite or worse subject depends on the level where one is. But when you think deeply, you will realize that there should be a subject that cut across that through all the levels.
Congratulations anyway
