So much about rape

Greetings my beautiful people 😊. Lately, I have been hearing a lot about rape cases of many girls and sometimes infants. I think we should try preventing it from happening and how an innocent girl can be saved from such an ordeal. It's not an experience worth going through. It could destroy a child's life forever.

I personally think there are a lot we could do to help these young girls look after themselves especially as parents. Some of which are

Sex Education

Teaching a lass about her sexuality and other important details she needs to know at a very young age. As early as 2yrs old,we can begin by letting her know the parts of her body which shouldn't be played with and let her know she has to always cover herself up. As she grows, she should be taught what changes she will experience as a girl.

Our world today is such that we can't really hide anything from our children. The more we try to hide from the child is the more she gets exposed to negativity from others.
If we are able to tell our girls certain things about themselves then surely they will already know how to handle themselves when faced with a situation. They will only fall prey to deceit just because they didn't know.

Limiting their interactions

Letting them know when to keep away. It's not every guy they see that is an 'uncle' as they will usually call them. You never know who has a bad motive. The less uncles they run too the better for them. It's worst nowadays that some fathers have the mind to violate their own daughters what more of an uncle🤷.

Get acquainted with their body

At a young age, a child should know the parts of her body which are not to be touched by anyone irrespective of who the person is.

Parent's relationship

Parent-daughter relationship is of the essence. If a child can't open up to atleast one parent then there's definitely an issue. If she can't approach her parents with any of her concerns then certainly she will approach a friend and there she might be misled and before we know it,it's already too late.

As parents we have to be strict but also soft as to let a child know they can always run to you at anytime t.

It's important that parents try to find out who their children's friends are and sometimes what they may be up to.
