Open Door With CATUC Bamenda Level 3 Students at Quodatics

Today I received the students from the CATUC Bamenda. For the past few days, I have been working on receiving them to give them a talk on how I manage and run the operation of my start-up business. Today I decided to open my doors to the students of CATUC so they can follow up and understand the operation process at Quodatics.

As you can see from the program. We started by introducing ourselves and had to smile at each other faces. The activity was to get the student to feel relaxed and take off any form of tension. To make it lively, I decided to have a discussion session and not a presentation.

It was a great time with the students, as I told them what Quodatics is all about and what we do at Quodatics. They were interested and asked several questions, which I clarified during the session. To get more relaxed, I offer them coffee, making them get the taste of the coffee I take when working.

The main purpose for their coming was to understand how operations are carried out in a working environment. Firstly, I made it clear to them that the difference between a company and a freelancer is the presence of operations to follow. After talking about the technologies, we use them in building websites. I started the talk on operation, which is all about the process we take to complete a project.

Given that project management happens to be one of their courses, they understood the session. I told them how important it is for a company to have a functional operation. I made it clear, in a company. When a task is assigned, you do what is expected and not what you think is right. Operations are accompanied by tasks deadline. So, a successful operation means all timelines are respected. And the meaning of that is, that means the workers of the company did what was expected and not what they thought.

The day ends with question and answer sessions. The student was satisfied at the end of the session. We took some pictures, which I will share in this post.
