The Importance of Girl Child Education in the World
Hello, friend, hope you are absolutely doing well. Today I am here to talk about girls childhood education. I have been hearing both in my lecture hall and several other places that in some places, most especially in my country, Nigeria, girls are restricted from going to school in some communities.
A girl's education entails molding her mind, character, and abilities. Every girl child should have access to education as a fundamental human right, regardless of age or nationality. It is impossible to overstate the value of education in the lives of girls.
Education, as we all know, is crucial in both the spiritual and temporal mundane facets of human existence. It is the light that illuminates the path by dispelling the ignorance-induced gloom; the salt that enhances the flavor of life; the medicine that treats; and the key that unlocks doors. "To gain an education" and "to offer others an education" are the two greatest favors a girl kid can receive from her parents.
According to a Chinese saying, "teaching your child a skill is better than giving him or her a thousand pieces of cash." Today, many females don't complete their schooling by a particular age. According to native traditional beliefs, in most parts of the world, specifically African countries, a woman belongs in her husband's kitchen and performs her major duties there. This idea has discouraged many girls from attending school, which is very bad.
When a girl is married off at a very young age, maybe 29 years old, her rights as a human have been violated; she has been denied the opportunity to receive an education, and if her husband does not provide for her education, she will be doomed to live her entire life in illiteracy.
We have all been taught in school that encouraging female education is essential for a country's progress and that women's contributions should not be undervalued. In respect to that, the world has the belief that "educating a woman educates a nation, whereas educating a man only educates one." This is true since every child's education begins in the home, where the mother serves as the first instructor (teacher), followed by the father.
By educating girls, we create mothers who will educate their children, take care of their families, and support their children.
Therefore, educating girls leads to better health for future generations, a decrease in child mobility, and a reduction in child mortality, which has the knock-on effect of making it possible to achieve all other sustainable development goals. Education for girls teaches them how to be decent wives and mothers as well as how to deal with the realities of society. She discovers her full potential as an educated person and learns she can be whoever and anything she wants to be. She would be able to realize herself by bursting the shell of ignorance with education.
Friend I hope you do well to pass this across your community, especially those who are still behind. Thank you for stopping by...
